Chapter 13: Dresses

Chapter 13

After dad told us about everything, the rest of the Weasley's told their children as well. Much changed, especially in the behavior, we all got much more respect our parents and we already had it, and we became proud. We had been visited by Neville several times too. And he boasted happily about how he had swallowed his shyness and insecurity and done everything in his power to help dad. Apparently, Dad, Mom, Uncle Ron, Aunt Hermione and the twins were kind and supported him a lot during their years at Hogwarts and he wanted to help as much as he could. He had killed the snake and had apparently everyone became very respectful towards him after that.

Though you can not stay in the past all the time either, right? Not in this family anyway, Potter-Weasley family, not now that there's a wedding, it's closer now and Uncle Bill's has become a bit depressed, Lily is often with mom at Uncle Bill and Aunt Fleur's house, because she is a bridesmaid along with Rose . Sometimes, I come with, Dad and James too.

"Well, now we're lucky that your hair color does not cut against each other," Aunt Fleur says to Lily and Rose one day as I went along. "On mine and Bill's wedding, Ginny and Gabrielle were bridesmaids, Ginny with Weasley red hair and Gabrielle with silver blond hair, like me and Victorie".

She speaks English vey good. Dad told me that Aunt Fleur had been pretty bad at English, but that Uncle Bill started giving her lessons in English, now she speaks fluently.

Uncle Bill is helping his wife with the preparations of the wedding, right now, he takes the bridesmaids' dresses.

"Oh," Lily exclaimed when Uncle Bill has brought in two gold-colored dresses. "Oh, how beautiful."

"Those are the same drasses Ginny and Gabrielle had on mine and Bill's wedding," giggles Aunt Fleur.

Lily discovers a fault with her dress as Uncle Bill hands her.

"But, mom was a sixteen when you got married," Lily says. "I am only nine and I do not fit in mom's dress, she was so long when she was sixteen."

Lily holds up the dress in front of her. She is right. But Aunt Fleur just laughs, along with Uncle Bill and mom.

"We know that sweetie," mom says.

"I'm going to sew up and shorten it," aunt Fleur says and Lily hands her dress. Rose does not fit in either, so even she hands her dress to Fleur.

Fleur points her wand at Lily and then at Rose. Probably to take the measure of them. Then she disappears and will be away for quite some time.

Victorie is not at home, but now she comes through the front door along with Teddy.

"Where have you been?" Her brother Louis asks.

"I have seen your dress, Victorie," Dominique asks. "It's really beautiful, can't you put it on?"

"Not as long as Teddy is here," Victorie laughs.

"Oh, you believe in that superstitious?" Teddy asks and pulls Victorie is close.

"Nope, I just don't want you to see it before the wedding," Victorie says. "It's mom's old wedding dress she had on her and Dad's wedding, it's really beautiful, and it is a worth waiting for."

Teddy laughs.

"Well okay then," Teddy says. "I should probably home to grandma now."

"But we will not meet before the wedding," Victorie warns him, as if she did not want him to go now. "So if you go now, we will not meet again."

"Then we'll just be happier when we meet each other in the morning," Teddy smiles and gives Victorie a kidd. A long one. No, I really mean it, the kiss becomes so intimate that mom has to break them apart.

"Stop it," she says, because Uncle Bill has collapsed in an armchair.

Victorie and Teddy giggles.

"Okay," Teddy says and walks up to my father. "Goodbye, Harry."

Dad pulls him in for a hug.

"You've grown up so fast Teddy," Dad says. "I remember when Remus showed a picture of you the first time when you were just a few months old, with turquoise hair, right here actually".

Teddy laughs. Right now, he has blonde hair. But now his hair changed to turquoise.

Dad starts laughing. I do too, okay everyone does. Teddy walks up to Victorie again.

"Bye," Teddy says and kisses her quickly to not cause Uncle Bill even more pain. "See at the altar then I suppose."

"Yeah, I guess we will, I think I'll probably be passing."

They start laughing. A quick hug and then he walks out of the house.

"Noooowww put on your dress!" Dominique exclaims as soon as Teddy has closed the door behind him.

"Yeah, okay," she says and check everyone who's here. James and I, Lily, father, mother, Rose, Hugo, Aunt Hermione, Uncle Ron, Dominique, Louis, and Uncle Bill.

"Where's Mom?" She asks.

"She fixes Rose and Lily's dresses," Dad answers.

Lily runs to Victorie.

"You'll be the most beautiful bride in the world," she says.

"Thanks Lily," she says, and carries Lily up in her arms. She doesn't weight much, she's only nine. "But that's not true".

"Yeeess it is! Because you have villie blood in your veins", Lily says. "And you has silver-blond hair just like Aunt Fleur, I'm sorry Dominique but you said it yourself, you said you'll also be beautiful, but not as beautiful as Victorie because but have stuff like typically Weasley's, like the hair for example, just like me."

Everyone laughs. Victorie puts Lily down on the floor to to get the dress. Dominique doesn't stop nagging about it.

She comes back with the dress. It actually is beautiful. She has has it on her. She's so beautiful. I hear something. Crying. Uncle Bill has burst into tears.

"Oh Bill," says mom. "Man up, will you? You didn't cry this much when you were the one getting married."

"I was twenty years," he says. "Victorie is only eighteen."

"Yeah, not very far from my age when I married Harry," mom says sternly to his brother.

He stops crying.

"You're right Ginny," he says. "You're right".

"Oh I know," mom says and then both of them starts laughing.

Aunt Fleur comes back with the dresses. They look exactly the same, but smaller. Lily gets her dress from Aunt Fleur and she runs up to James.

"Help me," she says, and gives him the dress.

Lily takes off her clothes so she only has her panties left, and James puts the dress over her head, she turns around so he can zip up the dress.

Lily runs to the full-length mirror available in the living room.

"Oh ..." she exclaims. It actually looks like she'll start crying. James I starts to laugh a little quiet. "Oh, Aunt Fleur thaaaank you so much." She runs up and hugs Aunt Fleur.

Rose has the dress on now as well.

Mom helps Victorie to put on her veil. When Victorie has the veil on, she looks like a real bride.
