As I parked my car at its usual spot, I mentally checked everything that I'll be needing for the presentation. Laptop, visiual boards, my 4-inch heels is in the back seat, my lucky necklace and my glasses. I glanced at my phone, one message from Sally asking where I was.  Shes been very nervous about this for weeks.

Nothing from the bitch.
I havent seen or talked to her since last friday night when I caught her making out with one of her "subjects" at the back of  Runners.

Althea owns one of the most frequented bars of the lgbt community in the metro. Runners is a successful bar and restaurant that also caters to the most famous photographers in the country.

She knows exactly how to deal with my anger. She did not come home to our condo unit and she did not dare call or text me. I am getting sick and tired of her womanizing sometimes I just wish I can easily put an end to this whole thing. How I wish.

I got out of the car and fixed myself. I do not need this now. the disctraction that is Althea. I looked at my reflection one last time and started to walk towards the elevator that would take me up to our office suite. I am wearing a neatly pressed gray skirt, white silk blouse and a blazzer that hugs the shape of my body. Minimal jewelry. Very light and natural make-up. I noticed several men checking me out. I am beautiful. I feel beautiful. If only this would be enough for her.

Hay... I woke up from my reverie when the elevator stopped and the door opened to our spacious office floor.  It was a very busy workplace at 8:45 in the morning. everyone is in over their head on this project. I stepped out and went straight to my office door.

Sally: Gosh Jade! di ka man lang nag rereply sa mga texts ko. naka ilang missed calls na ko ah!

Jade: I'd like to go through the presentation one more time. Please call David so we can start.

Our presentation ended at 8 in the evening. Before the week ends, we'll know if we were able to retain our contract with our biggest client.  Everyone in the office wanted to go out and have a drink. We've been working like slaves for the last few weeks and everybody needs a drink to unwind. My team was very insistent but I manage to politely declined.

I was looking for my keys inside my bag in front of our unit when I noticed that there was light inside. She's home.

I opened the door and saw her at our living room in front of the tv. She's cleaning her camera lenses and did not even bother looking up. I went straight to our bedroom and took a shower.
