Two days later, Kenneth entered the shop with a frown on his face, a laptop, and a very very thick book. He placed his backpack, laptop, and the book on the table near the window and he walked to the cashier and smiled when he saw Ashley was the one who was standing in there.

"Hey." He greeted her, still smiling.

"Hello, what can I get you this time?" She asked, with a forced smile on her face. Making him frown.

"Black coffee, please." He answered immediately, "I need some caffeine in my system."

"Very well, sir. Here is your change." She turned around, and prepared the coffee for him after two minutes she finally handed him his coffee. He quickly took it but then he grabbed her wrist, making her gasp in surprise.

"Is this really how this is gonna be?" He asked, trying to make eye contact.

"Sir, please let me go." She said, her eyes were looking everywhere but at him.

"Okay then." He let go of her wrist. She slowly rubbed her wrist.

There was silence for a while until he finally said, "Just so you know Ashly, I won't give up on you." He paused, licking his lip and ran his fingers through his hair. "I won't. So you better be ready, because until you finally lecture me about how caffeine is not good for my heart and offer me some hot cocoa, I will always come back."

He turned around, after a couple step he stopped in his tracks and glanced ver his shoulder, "Actually, even after you offer me a cup of your hot cocoa, I will still come back here, not because of the drinks, but because of you."

He was facing her now, "because when things happen, I always find myself wanting to come home. And looking at you feels like home to me."
