Tears spilled,
Voices cried,
Heavy droplets fell from the sky.
Our chains broke free,
Yours stayed intact.
Our wings spread,
Yours remained tied down.
We were torn apart,
Our connections cut,
Our distance grew,
Our bond stayed firm.
We chose our path,
We packed our bags,
We left with heavy hearts,
“Somehow, we’ll get by.”
Our journey together,
All those years,
Memories will keep us strong.
We hold on to the faith.
Together, once more,
Soon, in time…
For now, in our two worlds,
Two completely different worlds,
Something still remains.
No matter where we are,
Or how great the distance,
As we all look up together,
Covered by the same night sky,
We trace those same stars,
And together, our hearts beat as one.
