Bagheera's pov

I was looking at her foot and to be honest, it looked really bad. When I said it was almost completely torn off, well that was a bit of an exaggeration. It had a deep cut in it, but nothing that would be life threatening.

"How bad does it look?" Akela said walking towards us.

"It's bad, but nothing that can't be fixed." I said a little more confident.

"Well take your time, and we will give her a few days of rest then she should be better by then." The alpha wolf walked back over to the pack. Mowgli walked over to us and offered (y/n) a dead rabbit.

"Thank you Mowgli." She said slowly eating the rabbit trying not to move her foot that much now that she got some feeling in it back.

"Well I am going to go running with the younger wolves Bagheera." I nodded and turned back to (y/n).

"Well I think that that should do it. I can't do much else. Try standing." She slowly stood u and didn't flinch when she placed a little pressure on her foot. "How do you feel?"

"I feel great, thank you so much. I don't think it will take long before I will get better." She had her signature smile on her face. She started walking, there was a small limp but nothing to bad, I am sure she will be alright.

*time skip to when the water finally rises over the Peace rock*

(y/n) pov

"Come on Mowgli! Your almost there!" I said while running a bit ahead of him. Of course Bagheera was chasing us, and we were running. But being that I am not a wolf nor a human I would have completely different ways of running away, but since I am Mowgli's partner and we have to stick together I have to run the wolf way. I asked Bagheera about that a while ago, and he told me he would give me private lessons after practicing with Mowgli. So I run for most of my days and this gives me a bit more experience in running than Mowgli. It was getting a bit late and it looked like it was going to rain soon.

"(Y/n) slow down." Mowgli said in between pants. Finally it started to rain and it didn't start out lightly. I was a full on rain. It made the ground slipperly right away and I could tell that Mowgli was already having trouble. He doesn't have the same padding on his feet like the wolves, Bagheera, and I do.

"I think we should stop for today." Bagheera said in front of me. I looked at him and tried to stop running before I ran into him. I was so close to running into him and why he didn't move? I don't know, but I ended up sliding on the wet mud and crashing right into him. Mowgli watched as we rolled a few feet away. We finally stopped rolling and half my body was under Bagheera's. I couldn't really move because Bagheera's weight was holding me down. Not saying he is fat or anything, I mean he has more muscle than I do and that makes him a bit heavier.

"I am just going to head back to the pack!" Mowgli said walking away leaving us like this. I hadn't noticed Bagheera looking at me until I met his eyes.

"Why didn't you move?" I asked till looking at him.

"I... I thought you would stop..." I knew it was a lie, but I decided not to question him anymore.

Bagheera's Pov

I was laying on top of (y/n) looking into her beautiful (e/c) eyes.  She asked why I didn't move, and I actually don't know. I was going to, but my feet just didn't obey.  forgot that we here still laying there and I knew (y/n) noticed because her face grew a light pick. Then I remembered that I was keeping her from getting up. I quickly got up and looked away. I didn't want her to see any blush under my black fur.

"We should be getting back." (y/n) said slowly walking back to the pack. I followed behind wondering if she was mad at me or something. We made it back to the pack and the wolves were gathering where they usually do when they have pack meetings. (Y/n) walked over to Mowgli who was sitting by the den. I on the other hand walked over to a tree and laid down on a branch. I had a feeling that the wolves were talking about Mowgli, since the peace rock was now covered by water meaning the Peace treaty was off. I watched Mowgli walk over to the pack.

"I'm leaving." He said and everyone looked at him. "I don't want to see anyone get hurt."

"Mowgli go back to the den!" Raksha said hoping that he would stay. I walked over to the pack hoping to back Mowgli up. I knew this day would come and it was no longer safe for Mowgli. (y/n) walked over next to me.

"Aleka. Maybe I could be of help. The boy is right. I think it is best that we return him to the Man village." I could see (y/n)'s face looking at mine with saddened eyes.

"No, I won't let you! He is my cub!" Raksha said walking closer to Mowgli. "We are the only family he has ever known!"

"Raksha!" Akela said sternly. "It's for the best." He said a bit softer. She looked back at Mowgli who placed his hands on her face.

"It's ok. I'll come back and visit." He said reassuring her.

"You're mine, mine to me. No matter where you go, or what they may call you. You will always be my son." She said before placed her forehead against Mowgli's. I looked back at (y/n) and saw her crying. I knew this was a hard thing to do, and it was a very touching moment. I didn't feel bad for Mowgli an I do wish he could stay. But he is in grave danger. A lunatic tiger is hunting him, and he will only be safe in the man village.
