The Announcement

(Zane's P.O.V)

I held Aph for what felt like forever, I've never been this happy apart from Aphmau and I getting married. If only my mother could be here, as she would say she would be proud of her Zou Zou (This series was made before S2, please except the errors)

After breakfast me and Aphmau ride to Pheonix Drop to tell the others of the news. As we come to the gates I stop.
"Zane, are you okay?" Aphmau says, turning around on her horse.
"Aphmau, do you mind if I tell Garroth myself?"
"If you want to, but may I ask why Zane?" She smiles calmly
"It's hard to explain, it's a promise we made when we were kids." Aphmau laughed,
"That's a strange promise for kids to make." I chuckle and move closer to her,
"I know, but me and Garroth have been getting closer lately so I want this to prove I'm trying to be more family involved since..." I move closer to Aph and hold her"...I'll have my own soon." She smiles,
"Alright, when we get in to the village go and find Garroth and I'll gather the others." We both ride in together till we split paths, I head for the guard towers and Aph goes towards the plaza; I watch her until she is out of sight. Once I've tied my horse down I climb the ladder to the top of the guard tower where I find Garroth, Laurenece and Dante relaxing on their beds. Garroth is the first to spot me and gets up like lightning to hug me.
"Zane! Nice to see you. What brings you here? Shouldn't you be planning for your ceremony for Lord of Okasis?" Garroth finishes. I don't reply to his question, I look at Laurence and Dante and say,
"Can you two meet Aph in the Plaza?" I say a bit to sternly than I intended. I see a confused look crawl onto Garroth's face. With only a few glances at each other Laurence and Dante make their way downstairs.
"What was that about Zane?" Garroth says looking a little annoyed.
"Oh, sorry. I didn't mean it too sound like that I just had to tell you something...in private." Garroth sat down on his bed and extended an arm towards the bed opposite and says,
"Well then?" I smile and sit down.
"Garroth, when we were kids remember we said that we would tell each other when we were going to start our own family." Garroth laughs,
"You still remember that silly promise?" I laugh,
"I've never forgotten it. Anyway, this morning Aphmau and I found out..that's she's pregnant." Garroth's face froze. Then he suddenly beamed and hugged me so tightly I could barely breath.
"I'm so happy for you baby brother!"
"Thanks, I can hardly believe it myself." Then a sad thought crosses my mind,
"I wish Vylad was here...I promised him too" Garroth looks at me.
"Hey, don't worry..."
"IT'S MY FAULT!!" I say with a raised voice. Garroth takes a small step away from me.
"What are you talking about! It's not you're fault he got kidnapped by Shadow Knights."
"If I hadn't argued with him he wouldn't have been out there alone!" I finish and we both fall silent, I sit back down and say,
"I'm sorry...I didn't mean to get angry at you.." Garroth bends down to meet my glare.
"Don't worry," He smiles, "but maybe let's change the subject." I smile a little I agree with him. I then hear a loud rawr come from the plaza, Aph must have announced her pregnancy. I smile and Garroth pats me on the back.
"Don't worry, Zane. It all goes downhill from here." He chuckles and I punch him lightly on the shoulder.
