I stand up from my chair. Five ponies are sitting in a circle on the marble, tiled floor, mumbling about alternate universes. Stepping around the group, I rush to the door at the end of the room.
The golden knob glistens in the dim light coming through the windows on either side of the white door. I twist it and pull as a cool breeze runs through my house.
I could have sworn somepony had rang the doorbell just a few seconds ago. Yet nopony is standing in the doorway. I quietly shut the door and jog over to Shim. I ask her,
"You heard the bell ring, didn't you?"
She responds,
"What are you talking about? I didn't hear anything." The rest of her circle agrees that they heard nothing. I shrug, thinking that I'm hearing things, when the doorbell rings again. This time I'm sure of it, so I saunter back over to the door and swing it open. A dark green pony stands there with long orange hair covering its eyes. They smile, and suddenly, a drop of blood leaks from a wound on their cheek. I stare behind me at the lil' science group on my floor. The circle stares at me with confused looks.
I question the guest at my door,
"...May I help you?"
I blink. The pony is gone.
I look left and right but the visitor is nowhere to be found. Finally, my eyes dart behind me at my friends.
My sister flat out yells,
"What the HELL are you looking at out there?"
At this point I'm sure I'm hallucinating or some crap. I tell my friends they should go home.
I know that my alternate-universe friends have no homes in my universe but I don't care. I'm pretty freaked out with myself, so I dive under the covers of my bed and go to sleep under a blanket.
I wake up around midnight.
I hear breathing.
I peek out of my blankets.A dark green figure looms above me.
"There you are." A scratchy voice announces.
