The short man stood by his glass windows, speculating at the blinking lights of his city below. Chuckling gravelly, he twisted his fingers together.
"How very interesting indeed," he continued. "This is going to be fun."
Tilting his head slightly, the man said, "Bring the girl to me."
"Yes, Sir Elyon," a soft voice replied before melting into the darkness, a shaft of light penetrating through the black before shutting the man back into blurry darkness.
Giggling like a powdered-face-joker, the man spoke, "Everything is going according to plan."
His laughter resonated in his metallic dome and into his empire, where the people below shivered in fear.
