Avril Lavigne's concert was scheduled three days after Valentine's Day, and Jake got complimentary patron tickets.

Saktong fan si Emilie, kaya kahit maaga ang pasok niya kinabukasan, pinatulan pa rin niya ang pagpunta sa concert.

Nagbingi-bingihan na lang silang dalawa ni Jake nang asarin sila ng mga kaibigan nila. Pasimpleng late Valentine's date raw ang drama nila, at front lang daw ang concert ni Avril.

Hindi sila nagpaapekto sa mga pang-aasar. In fact, they're getting used to it. They didn't know if that was a good thing, though. Ang layo na nila mula doon sa dalawang weirdo na nagkainisan sa Paramore concert. Ayaw nilang pag-usapan itong mga pang-aasar sa takot na maging awkward sila. They have a good thing going here, and one mistake could revert them back to the square one.

Neither of them wanted that. Ever.

(That night, no matter how loud Avril sang her songs, they couldn't shut down the teasing voices of their friends inside their heads.Dagdag insulto pa na puro couples ang katabi nila sa row na 'yon.)

Ginawa pa rin nina Jake at Emilie ang post concert ritual nila: kakain ng ultimate burgersteak sa Jollibee, magkakape at kaunting yosi habang pinag-uusapan ang blog post tungkol sa concert.

(Deep inside, sa tingin nila awkward ang post concert ritual nila that night. Parehas kasi nilang pinipigilan isipin na date ang gabing 'yon.)

They found themselves reminiscing about their history after Mayday Parade's concert. Nasa Starbucks sila, nagpapababa ng concert high. Naubos na ni Jake ang natitirang Marlboro lights niya habang si Emilie naman tuwang-tuwa sa videos na kuha noong concert.

It was Jake who brought it up first. "Honestly, hindi ka mukhang music junkie."

That made Emilie look up. "Wow.. thank you?"

"Wala lang. Ang tahimik mo kasi," Jake shook his head, smirking at her. "You know, the Paramore concert? Ikaw lang ang hindi tumatalon sa VIP area. You kinda stood out there."

"'Coz I'm cool like that!"

He laughed. "Akala ko poser ka. Or a chaperone."

"Chaperone? Really?" binato niya ang upos ng sigarilyo kay Jake. "Kaya pala ang sama ng tingin mo sa'kin the whole time! Tapos ikaw 'tong super annoying fanboy na todo talon at kanta. Plus the videos. God gusto kong basagin ang digicam mo that night!"

"Teka, ano nga ulit tawag mo sa'kin nun?"

"Jumping Jologs! Four years later ganun ka pa rin!" They laughed.

"You really enjoy the music thing alone, no?" Jake asked quietly moments later.

Saglit na tumahimik si Emilie. "Kinda. It wasn't much of a choice eh. Hindi kasi music fans ang friends ko. Kung meron man, hindi ko trip ang tugtugan nila. Pati yung iba sa kanila... they just don't get it, you know. Bakit daw ako nagpapakagutom para lang manood ng banda eh may Youtube naman." Emilie snorted a bit. "Nakakakonsensya naman kasi minsan mapapaisip ka na sayang sa pera, na one night only lang naman. Pero yung euphoria while watching and hearing your favorite band play your favorite songs live? Fucking priceless, man. Sometimes... it's kinda lonely because you don't have someone to share that feeling with. Ugh pakyu ka, ba't ba ang drama ng tanong mo?"

"E 'di wala ka na palang problema ngayon?"

"Ha?"

Jake smiled at her, and for a second there Emilie noticed something different. Must be the lighting. (Or is it?" "'Coz you now found your musical soulmate."

A beat. "Who?"

"Me," he replied.

(Emilie didn't bother to hide her blush.)
