Stirfry Vegetables and Rice

Ingredients:

¼ cup of rice

1 cup of water and 1 spare

¼ zucchini

¼ capsicum

Small piece of broccoli

½ onion

½ clove garlic crushed

1cm piece of ginger crushed

½ carrot

1 stick celery

1 shallot

Mixture:

¼ cup of water

1 teaspoon cornflour

½ tablespoon soy sauce

¼ teaspoon chicken stock powered

Cooks Tools:

Wooden spoon

Fork

Measuring cup/spoons

Your own fork

Frypan

Step 1: Boil water.

Step 2: Add rice and cook till tender.

Step 3: Drain and rinse under hot water.

Step 4: Chop up vegetables.

Step 5: Make sauce: combine cornflour, water, soy and stock.

Step 6: Add oil to pan and heat at a moderate temperature.

Step 7: Fry garlic, ginger, onion and shallot.

Step 8: Add carrot and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Step 9: Add remaining vegetables and cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring frequently.

Step 10: Reduce heat.

Step 11: Pour over the sauce mixture and stir until thick.

Step 12: Serve immediately with rice.
