Corey glances at me with a pair of sad puppy dog eyes, his lip pulled out. We're sitting in his car, parked around the corner from my house. "We have 5 minutes before your curfew." He says in a glum voice.

I mimic his sad face, "I know."

"I'm sorry about what happened tonight." Corey's face suddenly turns serious as he looks down and then back at me.

"No, don't worry." I reply with an encouraging smile. "I had a really really nice time tonight."

Corey lights up and grins, raising up in his seat and setting his arm around the back of mine. "You did?"

"Yeah, of course." I blush, wondering if I should mention this next bit or not. "I've kinda had this crush on you for a while."

"What, no way!" His mouth drops in astonishment. "You liked me?" Corey almost sounds disgusted with the idea that I liked him before he de-friended the richies.

I nod with a small smile. "Yeah." I look over at him as his eyebrows are still raised in shock. "I did. I guess, I don't know..."

"No, go on." Corey smiles as his hand gently rests on my knee.

"I guess you just seemed different than the rest of them. Something about you-" I giggle in embarrassment before continuing. "you just seemed like you weren't a total asshole, okay?"

Corey chuckles. "And what do you think now?" His face feels closer to mine as my heart beat quickens.

"I think...I think I was right."

His thumb brushes against my skin and he smiles. "I pretty much went crazy over you when I saw you in Mr. Page's class."

I feel my heart race more than ever, my cheeks get hot, and I can't bring myself to look at Corey directly. How did Corey Haim go crazy over me? I keep trying to get used to this feeling, but I can't.  Suddenly I feel his hand beneath my chin, tilting my head up as I look at him.

"Can I do something?" He asks with a calm expression. I nod my head slightly, noticing the time on the dashboard, "11:03 P.M".

Corey slowly leans in closer to me, his blue eyes not breaking contact with me, and his hand still remains gently on my knee. My heart feels as thought it could burst out of my chest, gushing all over the car. I feel the beating of it all over my body and the slight movement over Corey's fingers around my leg gives me goosebumps. Our lips finally touch, soft and slow. He kisses me like this is the first and last time he gets to, and I'm sitting there, weak all over, trying to not melt into a puddle in his seat. Corey gives me a couple sweet kisses before pulling away, a shy smile plastered on his face. "I guess I better walk you to your door." I try to smile but my face is nearly frozen in surprise.

"Mhm, yeah." I grab my stuff and open the car door. Corey walks around the car and reaches out to hold my hand. I grab his as we slowly walk together up the sidewalk, his grasp on me tight. "Tomorrow, do you wanna go do something?" He asks, in a hopeful tone.

"Me and Lucy actually take a yoga class on Thursday's." I frown. "It's kind of a new thing I said I'd try out with her." I shrug and giggle.

Corey nods, his eyebrows scrunched. "Right, of course! Yeah, what about Friday?" We finally reach my door steps and we stop and turn to each other.

"Friday? Probably, yeah." I smile nervously, not entirely sure if my mom made plans or not. How is it that I'm trying to find time for Corey and not the other way around?

"Well, I guess I'll call you and we can figure it out then." Corey let's out a soft laugh and I wish his lips were on mine again. His voice suddenly has a sleepy, lazy tone to it, slightly deeper with a low rumble to his words. "I can't wait to wake up tomorrow and see you again."

"Me too." I smile. I raise up on my toes, wrap my hand around the back of his neck and kiss him. I pull away and when I do, I see his eyes are still closed. He opens them and looks at me in surprise as I walk up my steps. "See you." I grin and open the door.

Once I'm in the house, I look up through the door's peep hole. Corey stands there for a moment, his fingers clasped around the back of his head as he mouths 'oh my god'. He slowly walks towards his car as he fist bumps the air and drives off. I turn around and slide down the door until I'm sitting on the floor.

"I'm a fucking man eater!" I yell as it echoes all around the house.

"You're a fucking what, honey?" I hear my mom call out from her room.

"A MAN EATER!"

She appears in the foyer, wearing a green facial mask and dressed in her pink fluffy robe. "Did the date go well?"

"It went amazing, Mom. I'm- I'm so happy." I smile and shake my head, forever in disbelief that I made out with Corey tonight and even though I was nervous as hell, I walked away like I was Jessica Rabbit.

"Yay!" My mom giddily claps. "So, are you gonna break his heart?"

I shake my head and laugh. "No! I don't know." I shrug and joke as my mom lays a kiss on my forehead.

The next morning, Lucy and I plan to go to school early so I can fill her in on the date. When I get there, she's there waiting for me under a tree in the courtyard. "Lucy!" I call out as I do a happy dance.

"Lux Fontaine, get your cute ass over here!"

"Lucy, last night..." I begin as I take a seat next to her.

"Wait! Before you tell me," She stops and give me a smirk as she raises her eyebrow. "Do you know how many people have approached me this morning, begging to know how you made The Corey Haim sing love songs about you from his roof last night at midnight?"

My jaw drops. "Wait, what?!"

"Yeah! Everyone's saying they saw him sitting on his roof singing, 'Come On Lux' not Eileen! And 'Just What I Needed' by The Cars, and there was one more..."

Suddenly a guy with dark curly hair a few feet away from us yelled, "I Want You To Want Me!"

"Thanks, Dave!" Lucy yelled, waving. "Yeah, what he said." She let out a laugh and wrapped her arm around me. "So what fucking spell did you put on him, Lux?"
