Chapter 44 - Kidnapping Elena

Two days after Connor died Klaus returned to Mystic Falls. I was sitting in the living room and sipping coffee for breakfast, even if it was already noon. He stopped at the door and narrowed my eyes, studying my expression for a couple of seconds.  

'' What? '' I asked, tossing my head on one side.  

'' Okay, what did go wrong when I was gone? '' was the first thing he said.  

I crossed my arms. '' What did go wrong? '' I started shaking my head. '' You come back after three days being away and the first thing that you ask is what did go wrong? '' I rolled my eyes, trying to look innocent. '' Why do you think that something went wrong, maybe everything went perfectly fine... I don't always mess up everything you know... ''  

He frowned. '' Now I know that something's wrong, love. Tell me before I get mad. ''  

'' Okay, I take that back. Maybe I messed up something. Even if it wasn't my fault... '' I started and showed him my best innocent smile. '' There was a tiny tiny accident. Connor died. ''  

He was completely still for a second, his face was expressionless. Then he started yelling: '' WHAT? He died?! Didn't I tell you to do everything to keep him alive? ''  

'' Elena killed him! '' I defended myself.  

Klaus held his head and started walking up and down the living room. '' Okay, you always manage to mess up everything so why I still trust you with important things? ''  

'' You know that's completely correct, '' I said with a grin, appearing on my face. I quickly explained him everything that happened at the grill two days ago. '' Elena'll soon start loosing it. She's probably already hallucinating. ''  

'' That's right... '' Klaus thoughtfully said, leaning on the wall. '' Bring her here, '' he said, turned around and already wanted to leave the room.  

'' You want me to kidnap Elena? '' I asked with a frown. 

He turned back to me and stared in to my eyes. '' That's right, sweetheart. ''  

I sighed and jumped on my feet. '' You know, Rebekah's right. You think that you can order me whatever you want? ''  

He stared in to my eyes and I noticed an amused smirk, appearing on his face. '' Well the correct answer would be yes but I feel like you want me to say no? ''  

I stopped in front of him and narrowed my eyes. I was seriously staring in to his eyes for a couple of seconds. '' Man, that's not right. ''  

'' What do you want me to say? '' he asked, smiling.  

I was feeling a little happy because he already forgot about the whole Connor thing but still annoyed that the fact that he was able to order me around amused him so much. I rolled my eyes. '' Forget it... ''  

Suddenly he wrapped his arms around me and pulled me closer with vampire speed. He pressed a kiss on my lips. '' I'm sorry, love, '' he said and smiled.  

'' You actually apologized. '' I shook my head with a smirk on my face. '' Amazing. Okay, anyway, I'm going to go kidnap Elena. It sounds more fun then sitting around the house the whole day. '' I already walked to the door when I remembered something else. '' Hey, you found the sword you were looking for? ''  

Klaus nodded and smiled. '' Yes, sweetheart. Okay then bring Elena here. I think that I know a way to make her hallucinations stop. Have fun then. And try to bring her here in one piece. ''  

I viciously grinned. '' Oh you know that I'll do my best. ''

I was sitting on a branch in front of the window of Elena's room and waiting for her. I was bored and the sun that was shining in my face was annoying me. I was just cursing the stupid idiot that make sure that vampires weren't able to get in a house if they weren't invited when the phone in my pocket suddenly went on.  

It was a text from Caroline.

I'm going to clear the things today. To who should I go first? Tyler or Pete?

I thought for a second and then wrote back.

Tyler. Let me know what happened okay? Good luck by the way. (:

Caroline quickly replied.

Okay. I'll tell you later what happened.

I just put my phone away when I heard how Elena walked in her room and screamed with surprise. '' Oh my God! Alice! '' She opened the window, crossed her arms and stared at me, looking nervous. '' What are you doing here? ''  

'' You already started hallucinating, didn't you? '' I asked, with a smirk appearing on my face.  

She sighed and closed her eyes for a second. '' Please, if you are here to mock me just go away. It was a hard day. I... ''  

'' Okay, okay... I don't care about your problems. Let me in, '' I said and narrowed my eyes. 

'' What? '' she asked, confused. '' Why do you wanna come inside? '' Her eyes were suspicious. '' Why should I trust you? ''  

'' First, because I'm sure that you don't want me to break your house like the last time I was here, '' I said and grinned. Something on her face showed me that she instantly remembered how Rebekah and I came here and I started throwing things in the house and then everything went just a little crazy. Right before Lisa died.  

'' Skip to the second reason, '' she interrupted me.  

'' Klaus knows a way to stop your hallucinations, '' I explained. Well, at least I thought that he did. I wasn't completely sure what he wanted to do with her but I didn't care. I stood up on my branch and leaned closer to the window. '' So can I come inside? '' I asked, with a fake nice smile, appearing on my face.  

Elena was staring in my eyes for a second, then she nodded. '' You can come inside. ''  

I jumped in the air, flew through the window and elegantly landed on the ground. I walked around the room, studying the pictures and holding different objects. Elena was standing next to me and nervously watching my every move. '' How's your brother doing? '' I carelessly asked. '' Jerry... Jimmy... What was his name again? '' I turned at her and meaningfully smirked.  

She frowned. '' Jeremy. ''  

'' Right. Well, is he alright? ''  

'' Why do you wanna know? ''  

'' Oh I'm just trying to chat a little before I find a hard object to hit your head with and take you to Klaus's mansion, '' I said and smiled at her.  

I noticed how panic instantly appeared in her eyes. '' What? You wanna take me to Klaus? No! ''  

'' He's going to help you... I think... Well I'm sure that he's going to do something that'll help him, '' I said and shrugged.  

Elena already speed to me but I was faster. I smiled at a candlestick on a shelf next to me. '' That should do it! '' I grabbed it and turned at her. She already wanted to attack me but I raised my hand and hit her head with the candlestick.  

It actually sounded like hitting something that was completely empty inside. I always knew that Elena was stupid!  

First she froze, then she closed her eyes and collapsed on the ground.  

I smiled, threw the candlestick away and then walked in another room where I found a rope. I tied it around Elena so she wasn't able to move anymore and threw her over my shoulder.  

I simply walked out of the house, whistling the rhythm of Bob Marley's song A la la long. I accidentally hit the wall with Elena's head a couple of times on the way but I wasn't worried. No matter how many times you would hit Elena's head, she would never get more stupid then that.  

A smirk started appearing on my face when I noticed the weird looks of the people around me when I tossed Elena in the backseat of my Ferrari. When I thought about it I realized that they probably saw me in lots of weird situations. But I guessed that someone around here had to do the hard work.  

I smiled, sat in my Ferrari and drove back to the Mikaelson mansion.
