Picnic (M!Jesse X Petra)

"Jesse? Hurry up! We should be there by now!"

A week ago, Jesse and the others went to a temple for some treasure hunting, and that place looked like a great place to have a picnic.

And, I don't know why, Jesse is taking his own sweet time preparing himself. Olivia and Axel were already ahead of us, and they are sure eating the apple pie I cooked up.

"Jesse...what are you doing in there...?" I pounded on his door. I heard Lukas talking to him. He's coming too?

"I-I'm almost done! But you can go on first." He answered, followed by a snicker from Lukas.

"Ok." I went out of the treehouse to catch up with Olivia.

Jesse's POV.

"Dang that was close."

"I know right?" I sighed. If Petra was just this close to hear what we were saying, our cover might be blown...

"Olivia's group has her, so it's all set. Now we're just waiting for you." Lukas said as he closed his phone. He helped me tuck my shirt and smiled. "You sure about today?"

"I hope she accepts me..." I was getting ready to confess to her today, but I'm still....not confident.

"Hey, don't worry. I'm sure she'll like you. Besides, you two are the main ship~" Lukas teased.

"As if the ship 'Lukesse' isn't popular... How's it going with my sis?"

He blushed and stuffed his hands in his pockets. "Let's not talk about that..."

We both laughed and got ready to go to the picnic.

The sight was really beautiful, and we sat under a huge tree to enjoy our meal. Olivia packed her favourite sandwiches, while Axel and Lukas prepared drinks.

We chat and ate for a while, talking about our daily lives, sharing all kinds of crazy stories and adventures we had. Lukas actually had a pet Ocelot once, nice.

"Hey, Olivia, I need to go get sime wood for the new house I'm making, care to join?" Axel winked at her. She winked back and waved at us. That was the signal of leaving me and Petra alone.

"Oh, right...I gotta go, some urgent stuff happened. See ya." Lukas ran off.

It was only me and her.

"So...um...Petra, how are you doing lately?" I tried to break the silence.

"Not bad...I guess. Pretty much everything's been smooth. Except for that whole getting controled by computer thing." (*cough* spoilers for Ep 7 *cough*)

"Yeah, you feeling better?"

"Yep. Thanks for saving me back there, and I didn't knew you cared so much."

I gulped. Did she really did not think much of me?

I was feeling discouraged. I can't confess anymore. My face turned dark as I stood up.

"...I'm going for a while."

"What? Wait-"

"Hm?" I turned back.

"You seem nervous from the start. What's the matter?"

"...Nothing much..."

"Come on Jesse. Tell me."

I sat back down and stared at the ground. Should I really tell her?

"Um...look Petra...I..."

I gulped again and used all of braveness to say it out loud.

"I like you!"

There was a moment of silence, and I thought Petra must have slapped me.

But she didn't.

Instead, she hugged me.

"Jesse...I didn't know you like me too...I...feel the same way as you."

I looked surprised. Did she really say that?

"Really? Oh wow, you can't tell how happy I am."

We both giggled and three players emerged from behind the tree, clapping their hands.

"Well done, Jesse." Lukas hit me in the elbow.

"Ya did it! She does like like you!" Olivia cheered.

"Knew she was going to say yes!" Axel exclaimed.

"Alright, let's give them some privacy." Lukas and the others walked away.

Me and Petra blushed and held hands together. We then stared off into the distance, eating the last piece of pie.

"This is the greatest picnic ever." She said as she leaned beside me.

"Yeah..." I agreed.
