"India" August said while looking at the picture "who's baby is this" he asked not even looking up at me
"Mine" I nervously said. August finally looked at me with confusion in his eyes
"Well" he said with a chuckle "where is he" he asked looking around. I sat down beside him and tried to prepare myself the best way I possibly could
"About a year ago" I started "I got pregnant and me and Scott were so happy. 9 months later on August 3rd, weighing 9 pounds 7 ounces at 3:56 a.m I gave birth to a baby boy" I smiled and seen August smiling too while looking at me then back at the framed picture "2 weeks after birth the doctor told us that he had lichen planus spreading throughout his system and that his little heart couldn't take much more of it" I said while nodding my head remembering that day "he died 3 in a half weeks after that picture was taken on September 7th" Aug looked at me with tears sitting on the base of his eyes
"India" he whispered but still loud enough for me to hear "I'm so sorry"
"We both started to drink to much" I admitted "I stopped but he never did" he looked at me with nothing but sorrow in his eyes
"I really wish I could have been there for you" he said. I looked everywhere but into his eyes
"Yea well that didn't happen" I said. He looked at me and smiled
"What was his name" I started to smile
"Melvin Anthony Smith" when August heard that he started cheesing from ear to ear
"That's a manly ass name" Aug said trying to lighten the mood and caused us to both laugh
"Yea well I'm glad he let me pick out the name" I looked at the picture and whispered "my little warrior" there was a silence
"How did yo mama and pops take it"
"Not so good" I shook head "especially considering the fact that he was my first" he nodded his head. There was a silence "so where are you staying at"
"Uhh I'm checkin into the Ritz Carlton presidential suite"
"I mean you can stay here if you like" I said keeping my head down
"How is your husband goin to feel bout this" he asked putting emphasis on husband
"Well he's had friends spend days over before just as well as family members so I'm sure if I call him he'll understand" I explained
"U sure" I nodded
"Yes" Aug nodded "well August I'm about to take a bath and when I get out we can sort everything out"
"Aight well imma call Trav to let him know to bring my stuff over here. Is that coo" he asked
"Yea that's fine" I said walking upstairs to me and Scott's room and closing the doors then walking over to the bench in front of the bed and sitting down. My phone started to ring and I seen that it was Yn
