Part Thirteen {Michelle's POV}
I was sobbing as George put his arm over me.
I said "George, wh-what if he doesn't make it?"
"Baby, Don't think that way, he's strong your father, I've seen him."
"But Geo-" I started to say, but I was cut off my George's lips.
He lightly kissed me. He filled my heart with warmth and joy. He pulled away and said;
"My love, don't talk this way, be strong."
I kissed him again and said
"I love you."
"I love you too" He said
My mum walked out of my dad's room and said
"He has a brain tumor."
I cried into George's chest harder. I looked up at him and saw he got tears in his eyes. George had loved my father. My dad had taken us fishing; he taught me how to write music and how to play the saxophone.
I couldn't think of life without him. He was such a big part of my life. I also wondered how we would pay for his medical treatment. My dad worked and earned most of our money. My mum had a night job every Monday and Thursday, but that was not enough to support our family.
I would probably have to get a job, or watch Michael all the time. I asked if I could go see him. They let me into his room. I sat down on his bed and wiped away my tears, so I would not make him feel bad.
I said "Hi daddy."
He opened his eyes and forced a smile.
He said "Hey, how's my girl doing?"
"I'm fine, how are you?"
"Okay, a little weak, but I'm okay."
I really did not know what to say to my poor dad. He said,
"Baby, do me a favor."
"Anything dad."
"Don't let this affect you in anyway."
'What do you mean?" I said
"I mean, don't let this affect you and George," He said
"Oh dad, It won't don't worry about me, just worry about getting better."
"Okay honey." I kissed him and walked out
