This isn't what I imagined when I told everyone to come down to the basement for a playful game of ping pong.

The place was practically a war zone.

Balls were flying everywhere. Kyouko was screaming bloody murder. Takeru had turned into an impenetrable brick of determination. Bantarō was laughing like the sadistic bastard he is, and everyone else had taken refuge behind pieces of furniture in hopes of not getting penetrated while continuing to watch the match.

    Chaos. Complete and utter chaos.

Shizuma and I are barely even winning.

"PREPARE TO DIE, REIJI!" Kyouko called out as she swung her paddle with all of her might once again. Naturally, everyone in the crowd ducked back into their hiding spots.

I swear I heard Tasuku crying somewhere in the corner.

The paddle smacked the ball with a deafening 'CRACK' and I physically readied myself to return it's force. The ball flew across the table at an alarming speed, but I managed to block it perfectly.

"Good job, Reiji-sama," Shizuma praised me as the ball traveled over to Takeru. He swung it back just as cleanly, and it became a back-and-forth battle between him and my fellow teammate.

I guess all those years of playing professional ping pong were worth it after all.

"Don't get cocky, Reiji! Kyouko is going to ping you into your grave!" Nana harassed me from her spot directly behind Bantarō's chair. My purple eyes flicked over to their general direction.

Bantarō's chair was located right next to the ping pong table, so you could say Nana and him were probably the bravest ones out of the group.

"I don't doubt it, Nana, but I refuse to lose!" I declared after I dodged one of Kyouko's foul hits.

When I looked back, I noticed that the ball had been perfectly planted into the wall. A thin line of smoke was rising from the miniature crater.

I gave Kyouko an exasperated look. "Really? That's the fourth foul that's managed to put a dent in the wall."

Kyouko rolled her eyes at me. "It's not like you don't have the money to fix it. Quit getting so distracted or you're gonna end up kissing your friend over there."

My eyebrow twitched with annoyance as Shizuma went to grab another ball from beneath the table.

Fortunately we had lots of spares. If we hadn't, we would've ran out a long time ago with the barbaric way Kyouko was playing.

Who knew she had such a sassy/scary side to her...

"Alright, I'm serving," Shizuma announced before hitting the ball with perfect precision. It zipped over to Kyouko's side and landed at the very corner of the table.

For any normal person it would've been impossible to return without getting a foul, but Kyouko was the complete opposite of normal.

    She was bat shit crazy.

The petite girl leaped back and swung at the ball, sending it straight to my corner. My eyes couldn't keep up with her movements and I missed it by about an inch.
