We're Here

1.

You awoke in your bed, turning to see someone next to you.
The blonde hair was all you saw, but you knew who it was.

You sat up, turning your body in order to lay your body overtop of the girl.

You felt a movement strike it's way into your side, causing you to groan in pain as you rolled off the blonde's body.

"Sorry, weirdo"
You heard the girl's voice call from above.
You rolled back into your friend's lap, reaching up to play with her hair.

"What day is it, Maya?" You ask.
"Um, Saturday I think. But who cares, it's summer." She answered.
"Yay!" You softly let out, lightly smiling.
Maya giggled.
"You're so cute." She sighed.
"That's gay." You joked.

Her small hands gracefully pushed you off the bed, making you scream.
You heard the blonde giggle, which made you smile.

You heard a vibration, making you lift your upper half just enough in order to see what it was.
You noticed your best friend checking her phone, a smile making it's way onto her face.
You smiled along with her.
"Why are we smiling?" You asked, giggling.
"Date." She answered.
"With who?"
"Eliza, ya' dummy!"

My smile faded.
"Don't you go out with her all the time?" I asked.
"Yes, but we're going bowling!"

Now, you know that Maya loves bowling, but, bowling was you and Maya's thing.
You can't just let Eliza take that!

You frown, looking up at Maya.
"Weren't we going bowling today?" You ask, gripping the bed sheets.
"Oh, right. Maybe next time? I mean, I want to go with you, but, Eliza and I want to be alone, y'know?"

Eliza was taking everything.
It's supposed be Riley and Maya.
Not Eliza and Maya.
