Olivia snapped herself back to reality, "Elliot, you lying bastard get the hell out of my house!" she screamed as she tried to slam the door shut.
"Olivia wait," he said as he stuck his foot in the door, preventing it from closing. "Let me explain," he said as he forced himself in.
"You've got to be kidding me! Twelve years, Elliot, twelve years we spent together! This is the first time I've ever heard from you in five years!" she screamed as she poured herself a new glass of whiskey.
Elliot ran over to her and snatched it out of her hand, "Liv this isn't okay. You reak of whiskey and wine. I think you might have a problem."
Her eyes widened and a smile crept onto her face, "Elliot Stabler, you're telling me, that I have a problem? Sorry buddy, there's a lot of things you can lecture me on, but how I deal with my problems is not one."
Elliot shamefully looked at the ground and Olivia took her glass back out of his hand.
"You left me. Twelve damn years and you left me alone!" she yelled at him.
"I needed out, Olivia. You of all people should understand that," he said sitting down beside her.
She shot up, not wanting him anywhere near her, "No Elliot, no I don't understand. Unlike you, I face my problems. I don't runaway."
He sympathetically looked up at her and said, "You face your problems with a glass in your hand."
She stumbled back to the couch and sat down. She buried her face into her hands and began to sob, "El, you left me. You broke me. You were the reason I woke up, the reason I kept living. Then after twelve years, you just up and go. You don't even say goodbye. You didn't call me. You didn't even write me a letter. You just left."
He put his arm around her and kissed her on the head, "There's a lot of things I wish I would have done differently, all of them involving you."
She looked up at him and wiped the tears out of her eyes, "What are you talking about?"
He leaned in closer, "this," he said as he kissed her.
Olivia pulled back, "Elliot this is wrong. You have Kathy, the kids. I have Ed."
"Olivia, I've been a detective for a very long time. I know the difference between right and wrong, this is definitely right," he said kissing her again.
