"And then she was all like 'oh that was your toothbrush ? I thought it was mines' and Lucas it made me so mad"
Jessica had been going on and on for the last 20 minutes about an argument she had with her sister . We were at iHop and she hadn't stopped talking since we got here .
"Here's the check whenever you guys are ready for it" , the waitress laid the check on the table .
"Lucas I don't have any cash on me ca-"
He rolled his eyes and cut Jessica off mid sentence , "don't worry about it Jessica I've got it" .
She laid her head on his arm . When we got to the restaurant she almost knocked me over just so she could sit by him .
"Lucas you are soo sweet . Like how are you still single ? I wish I had a guy like you", she toyed with his hair as she spoke .
He lifted her hand and sat it on the table while moving his arm so her head accidentally hit the side of the table .
I laughed lowly as I looked at Lucas , who's face was turning red as he tried to hold in his laughter .
"What's funny ?" , she glared at me .
"Oh I wasn't laughing , it's something stuck in my throat" , I chuckled . She rolled her eyes .
Lucas laid money along with a tip on the table and looked at me , "you ready to go Aaliyah ?" . I nodded .
"I'm ready to go too Lukey" , Jessica smiled she threw herself all over him .
He grimaced , "get off me then and let's go . Before we're late"
We all got up from the table and headed to the car . I pushed her out of the way and jumped in the front seat , "I call shot gun" .
"What are you , 6 ? Lucas promised that I could sit in the front" , she growled as she got in the backseat .
Lucas climbed in and buckled up his seatbelt .
"Lukey you promised" , Jessica pouted as she lowered her shirt a little to expose her cleavage .
He turned to face her and grinned , "she called it" .
The rest of the ride was silent . We pulled into the parking lot and got out , walking into the school .
I spent the next 5 hours dealing with crying , screaming , misbehaving kids . As Lucas and I clocked out , Mrs.Jones stopped to talk to us .
"Just letting you guys know not to come in tomorrow , the school will be closed okay ?"
We both nodded .
"Okay Mrs.Jones , see you on Monday" , Lucas and I said at the same time . I blushed as we walked out the front door .
"So Aaliyah" , Lucas started as we walked to my car .
"Yea Lucas ?" , I said .
We arrived at my car and I unlocked the door , setting my purse in the driver's seat .
"I was wonder-"
He was cut off by my phone ringing . It was Vanessa .
"Give me one quick second Lucas" , I held up my index finger and grabbed my phone .
He sighed , "nevermind , I'll catch you later Aaliyah" . I watched him walk to his car as I answered the phone .
