Chapter 4: Don't Tell Kairi!

"Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna run around, and desert you!" I sang

"Someone's happy." Dad laughed at my enthusiasm

"I am!"

"Just like your mother, happy for no apparent reason. Why are you singing that song anyway? Don't people you age listen to Carter West or something?"

"Kanye West Dad, and no."

"Sorry." Dad laughed, putting his hands up

I glanced at the time. 7:30.

"I gotta go sweetie. See ya after work!" Dad said, ruffling my hair as he walked past

I pouted "My perfect hair!" I over exaggerated

I sloppily went to the bathroom, brushed my teeth and walked into the lounge to watch some more Attack On Titan before school.

"Nooooo!" I exclaimed as the episode finished. I couldn't watch another episode. Not today.

I rolled off the couch and hit the floor. Standing up and brushing myself off, I left.

I was at the usual meeting spot before Kairi, so I put in my headphones and started singing along, swaying my body in time with the beat. Throughout all this, I couldn't get Goldie's face out of my mind, how his golden colored hair fell into his blue eyes, how they were full of warmth and happiness...

"Earth to (Y/N)! Are you with us (Y/N)?" I heard a feminine voice say in my ear

"Eep! Yes!" I pulled my headphones as Kairi laughed at my girly scream

"Let's go!" Kairi said in between laughs

I pouted, replaced with laughter soon after

"So how was work last night?" She asked

"Well..." I started. Then my phone went off.

"Ugh, why do people text at the worst times?" Kairi said

"I dunno, give me a second." I opened the text. It was from an unknown number

"Well, I checked cameras." I stated, taking Goldie's text into consideration

"Aww, so no hot criminal boys tried to break in?" She wiggled her eyebrows

"No! Why would they break into a pizza parlour?" I laughed

"Pizza? Money?"

"Hmmmm, maybe!"

We talked about random stuff the whole way to school, luckily she never mentioned work again.

"Well I'll see you at Interval!" I waved

"See ya!" She waved back, walking in the opposite direction

I walked, not really paying attention to anyone or anything around me.

"Watch where you're going bitch!" The popular girl, Phoenix, spat at me (if your name is Phoenix just change)

"Sorry." I mumbled looking at the ground

"Look at me when you talk to me bitch!" Phoenix yelled, hooking a finger under my chin. I looked her straight in the eye

"I'm sorry." I sad a little louder

"I can't hear you bitch." She sneered, smirking, enjoying every second of tormenting me

"Break it up now!" Kairi came running over
