Many people wouldn't think their alcohol would contain animal products, but surprise! Sometimes they do. So before you go out to enjoy yourself make sure your not stopping another being from enjoying their life.

Many drinks are fined/clarified/stabilized using animal products, the animal products are processing aids> meaning almost none should be left in the alcohol after as its not an additive, but this cannot be guaranteed & is still not vegan. Although it comes down to personal preference with vegans when their food may come in contact with a non-vegan ingredient, this is not the case. These ingredients are used to create the alcohol therefore not vegan.Albumin is commonly found in alcohol which is egg whites.
Casein (a protein that increases cancer growth) can be found in alcohol.
Chitin made from the shells of crabs/ lobsters can be found in alcohol.
JELLO... Not as bright, sweet and tasty after you find out it's made out of:
Gelatine. The bones, ligaments, and skin of dead animals from the meat industry. You can find Gelatine snuck into lots of kids candies and your alcohol. Many ciders contain this.
You will also find Isinglass in your alcohol which is derived from the bladder of a fish. This is used to gather yeast and sink it to the bottom of the beer.
Remember my chapter about bugs and food coloring? Well red wines sometimes uses the red dye Cochineal as well.
