          "AXEL DON'T!!"

"BIG BROTHER!!"

"GET OUT OF HERE NOW!"

"Ellie we need to leave now!"

"But what about Axel!"

I awoke suddenly from my nightmare about the previous night, I was panting heavily and sweat dripped down my body.  Sitting up I rubbed my eyes noticing how puffy they felt, I must have been crying in my sleep.

"Axel...I hope your ok...please be alive."

I got out of Axel's bed and made my way to his bathroom.  Once there I washed my face and looked at myself in the mirror.  It was amazing what I saw and how different I looked.  A little over a month ago I was cold, murderous, uncaring about humans.  Now I'm crying over one male that proved himself and pushed through all my defenses I built up over the years.  Not to mention that I now have two female companions that call me friend.  Axel changed me in so many ways in such a short amount of time.  He is truly a mystery all on his own and I still get frightened when I can't figure him out.  He may be unreadable but he earned my respect and my love.  I will do whatever it takes to find him.

'I better go check on Ellie, I hope she is doing well.'

I walked out of the bathroom and grabbed my clothes along the way to the door.  As I closed the door to his room I tossed my clothes into my room before walking down the hallway towards Ellie's room.  Once I reached her door I froze on the spot with my hand reaching for the door knob.

'That's right, I need to talk with Ellie about her vectors.  It was really lucky that she managed to develop them at the last minute.  Had she not done so then things would be much worse than they are now.'

Pushing the door open I saw her still asleep in her bed, I couldn't help but smile at how peaceful she looked.  I walked up and sat down on the edge while gently cupping her cheek.  I could see she had been crying too but not as much.

"Ellie, time to get up."

I saw her eyes start to open and the small groan she made caused my smile to widen a little.  Ellie sat up and stretched her arms while yawning.

"Morning Ellie."

"Good morning Lucy, how did you sleep?"

"It was ok.  Could have been better."

Ellie looked at me with somewhat sad but hopeful eyes.

"Are we going to look for big brother today?"

"Of course we are, first were going to have breakfast and then we'll head out ok."

"Ok, do you...think we can have...banana pancakes?"

"You mean the one's Axel taught us."

Ellie nodded her head and I could tell she was hesitant on bringing him up.  I figured she must be slightly worried that he won't be coming back.  I would be lying if I said he had a good chance of surviving that fall.  He was beaten to the point he could barely stand, yet he still used his remaining energy to attack Scarlet.  He fell into the water from a 40ft drop, it would be a miracle if he was alive.  However I will not let my doubts stop me from searching for him, it's the only thing I can do at this point.  Looking back at Ellie I nodded my head and gave her a small smile.

"Sure, let me go get changed and then I will start on breakfast."

"Thank you Lucy."

Ellie hugged me and I returned it, I was thankful for having someone like Ellie with me.  As we let go I was about to turn and get up but Ellie grabbed onto my arm.
