Hello Lovelies,

So once again I have saved this for the last possible moment. My apologies!!!

And again I'd just like to thank everyone who entered! I was a little worried that people might not like this weeks theme but I got even more entries then last week! Yay! Now, without further ado, I bring you the winners!

I once had a dream

That I could fly away from here

And as impossible as it may seem

I think it's time to make that leap

Here I stand on the edge

Of this bridge above water

I close my eyes, take a step

I pummel down to my death

But as I open my eyes

Spread my arms wide open

I stop falling toward my demise

And I begin to fly, fly, fly..

I don't usually like poems that don't rhyme but this was great. Everything flowed and the subject was perfect. Flying is something I think about all the time. Nicely done!

My eyes stung with tears

And my hands wouldn't stop shaking

I asked myself in the mirror

Is this risk worth taking?

I slammed down my fist

Onto the edge of the sink

If insanity was obtainable

Then I was definitely on the brink

I'd been lying to everyone

Myself included in that

But this was the day

I was done being a doormat

Deciding I'd had enough

Of this poor pity parade

It was time to tell my parents

And stop my life of charades

My mother and dad

Were watching TV

And I visibly cringed

At the godawful movie

I walked between them

Pressing pause on the remote

Praying one last time to God

They wouldn't think this was a joke

I've been lying to myself

For forever and a day

And a weight was lifted off my chest

When I uttered the words "Mom, dad, I'm gay."

THIS. I love it to put it plainly. You have no idea how hard it was to choose whether it would get first or second place.  I really felt my emotions rise and fall with this poem. Beautifully done.

| Impossibilities  |

By multidealogist

You can't do it

You'll fail miserably

Might as well quit,

you won't succeed

But I can do it

Why can't you see?

I'm not going to quit

Cause I can succeed

You've got to be joking

You'd be pinned

Just stop trying

you'll never win

No, I'm not kidding

I am dead serious

I won't stop going

Persevere, I can triumph

You're too weak

to even do that

Your fragile teeth

would really crack

Everyone starts

off undeniably frail

before becoming strong

If I try, I'll prevail

Your end is near

you should drop out

before you tear

up real loud

An ending is just

an excuse for a beginning

Eventually, I will triumph,

no need to be quitting

It's impossible

Don't you see?

You aren't able

to succeed

Impossiblility is actually

I'mpossibilities, I swear

Don't you even see?

I'mpossibilities everywhere

Beautiful. I don't know what else to say! I especially love the note it ended on. Because its SO true. Their are impossibilities everywhere but we still seem to face them down. Congrats on first place!
