Chapter 5: A Mother Always Knows

*Frisk's POV*

I decided to leave the room while Chara slept, since I figured it must be difficult for them to get adjusted to all this. And before I left the room I whispered, "I promise I won't tell anyone." I went over to Toriel and couldn't get over the fact that she was actually back. As we were talking, I felt my eyes getting heavy, and fell asleep.

*Chara's POV*

When I heard the door shut behind Frisk I sat up.  "So, now I'm shorter, afraid of flowers and full of regret.. and I have the nagging feeling that I've forgotten some of my past. I expected some of this, but not this bad, was I really that far gone?" Chara was about to get up, when they heard the door open, and before they could react, Toriel walked in carrying a sleeping Frisk. 

"Oh hello my child, did I wake you?" I shook my head in response, and then got off the bed."

"There,s only one bed, they can use it, since they can actually sleep."  Toriel put them in the bed and gave me a look. 

'You know, I may not be as young as I once was, but I know my children when I see them. Tell me Chara, why did you decide to hide yourself from me?" I gave a slight chuckle when she said this. 

"I guess I didn't know how you would react, after all I did die, and now I suddenly return. Hell if I was you I would of freaked out. " I didn't wait for a response from here before I ran up and hugged her. "I missed you Mom, I really did, and I'm sorry for what I did."

"I missed you too Chara, and seeing that it is you, I will allow you two to go outside the ruins, as long as you promise to come back every once in awhile." After saying this, she left and shut the door behind her. I gave a sigh and sat down int he chair near the desk, and decided to tell Frisk when they woke up. Before I knew it, I was asleep.

SIDE NOTE:

I am debating on adding genders for Frisk and Chara. I was thinking of making them both male, so comment what you think about this!
