*Taylor's POV*
The banging on the door continued as an air of tension filled the air. Mom eventually moved towards the door, shouting back to us, "We may as well get it over and done with now."
Ross's arm tightened around my waist as I stuffed my face into his chest. I heard the slam of a door, and extremely loud shouting.
"HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?! HOW COULD YOU LEAVE ME?!" I heard my dad scream at my mom. It hurt me deep inside to know she was alone.
"I've gotta go and help her, Ross." I whispered to Ross as I unwrapped myself from his arm.
He held me back gently by holding my hand. "Yell for us if you need backup, ok?"
I nodded and pulled Cameron with me into the hallway where my parents were arguing.
My dad stopped mid-rant when he saw us, then his face broke into an evil smile.
"Well, hey, guys! Missed me?" He asked eerily. I took a good look at him. It was obvious he had been drinking: blood-shot eyes, rough voice, plus his stumbling.
"Go home, Dad. You're too drunk to think." I stated, standing close to Cameron.
"Yeah, anyway, you're not wanted here." Cameron added.
My dad's expression changed from a grin to a blazing fire in a matter of seconds.
"EXCUSE ME?!" He yelled. "YOU THINK YOU CAN TELL ME WHAT TO DO?!" He moved to push Cameron, but I interfered, pushing him back.
"How did you find us?" I demanded.
"Well, it was easy. I tracked your mom's phone number." He smiled again, evil flickering in his eyes as he turned to my mom. He walked over to her, cornering her.
"This is all your fault, Dana. And you're gonna regret it." He warned, pushing her up against the wall.
"GUYS!" I yelled to the Lynches. They soon came running into the hall, grabbing my dad and pushing him off Mom. Dad was pushed near the door, and it was as if there was an invisible line between him and us: two separate sides.
"Mr.Parks, I think it's time you got your act together and left, with the last of your dignity." Riker stated before gesturing to the door.
My dad's eyes flicked back and forth between the Lynches, and for a second, I saw the old Dad, pride full in his eyes, before he turned back into the monster he had become.
"Well. If it isn't the Lynches! How've you guys been?" He asked, pretending to be interested.
"Get out." Ross said flatly.
"Oh, if it isn't little Rossy! What are you gonna do about it, huh?" My dad asked, getting all up in Ross's face.
"DON'T!" I warned, pulling him back quickly.
He turned to me. He towered over me. "Stay out of this, Taylor. This is all your fault anyway." He said while pushing me hard.
"DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH HER!" Ross screamed as he stood protectively in front of me.
"It's time you left." Rocky said before opening the front door and pushing my dad out. "Now, BUH-BYE!"
As he was just about to shut the door, my dad yelled, 'THIS ISN'T OVER! I'LL BE BACK!"
The door was slammed shut and I spun around, running towards my mother, who was sitting on the floor and leaning against the wall, Rydel comforting her.
I sat on the floor next to her. "What happened, Mom? Are you ok?" I asked in a rush.
"I'm fine, sweetie. Your dad literally stormed in and started shouting all kinds of things at me, then you guys came into it." She sighed. Then she remembered something.
