What does it mean to be a Christian? Does it mean to drop everything and go help the children in Africa? Or does it mean that you can no longer have any fun? Well both of these things that I just listed aren't true. Being a christian doesn't mean rules and regulations, but a relationship with Jesus Christ our savior.

Becoming A Christian:
Becoming a Christian requires four easy and simple steps:
1. Acknowledge in your heart that Jesus is Lord.
2. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord.
3. Believe that Jesus died for your sins and was raised three days later.
4. Repent of your sins and get baptized in the name of Jesus.

When you ask Jesus to come into your heart, you are asking him for a personal relationship. A special relationship that only you and him can have. A special connection to one another. When you became a christian, you entered the door that every other christian had to go through. The door which is Jesus Christ. He even said it himself in John 10:9.

"I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture."
Here Christ is saying that if you accept him you will be saved and find an internal peace and love that is only found in him. Down below are some scriptures that I pulled out to give you a better understanding:

" For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." - Romans 1:16 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:Not of works, lest any man should boast."- Ephesians 2:8-9

" That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."- Romans 10:9-10

" For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."- 2 Corinthians 5:21

" And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."- Acts 16:30-31

"Jesus answered and said to him, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God'" - John 3:3

" For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, so that whosoever believeth in him, shall not perish but have everlasting life." - John 3:16

Jesus wants you to give your heart to him. To confess that you are a sinner and will never be complete without him in your life. Christ love you and cares for you. As he once said that he will never abandon you nor forsake you. Trust that the Lord Jesus Christ died for you today if you already haven't. Don't miss out on this offer because you don't know what you're missing out on. Down below will be a prayer you can say if you haven't already asked Jesus Christ into your heart:

"God, I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for myself and that is wrong. I need You in my life; I want You in my life. I acknowledge the completed work of Your Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross at Calvary, and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. I ask this in Jesus' precious and holy name. Amen."

If you decided to repent of your sins and receive Christ today, welcome to God's family. Now, as a way to grow closer to Him, the Bible tells us to follow up on our commitment.

-Get baptized as commanded by Christ.

-Tell someone else about your new faith in Christ.

-Spend time with God each day. It does not have to be a long period of time. Just develop the daily habit of praying to Him and reading His Word. Ask God to increase your faith and your understanding of the Bible.

-Seek fellowship with other followers of Jesus. Develop a group of believing friends to answer your questions and support you.Find a local church where you can worship God.

I hope this has helped some of you follow Christ, but if not that's okay because maybe I wasn't meant to help you get saved in God's plan for you. If you have any questions please comment. Also please comment if you did get saved. Plus read on the to the next chapters that I will be posting on here. God Bless you, every single one of you forever and ever.
