It's Ramadan, Paulina. Now is not the time to flirt. Walk away from the phone girl. Walk the fudge away and recite something like Suratul Nas or something. Go. Go. Go.
Can my brain shut up, like really, I don't even have the time to think of flirting with him to prove a point, my spicy samosas are in trouble, I have to save them! Plus even if I do want to reply, I could have done it more than five hours ago!
I sigh as I make my way towards Halle's Cafe. My maxi skirt brushes against my ankles as I cross the road. It's a bit windy for reasons unknown to me. Hot hair hits my face and I silently curse the fact that I decided to just throw a pashmina over my head without anything to keep it in place.
I step on the pavement and quickly step into the Café. It's not as packed as it was yesterday but it's all good. I'm not here to drink coffee and eat bread rolls.
I make my way to the counter. Kenneth is smiling at me and I don't wait for him to open his mouth. "Where are your parents?"
His smile turns into a smirk. Even Satan would be scared of such a look. "Well...they went out. They won't be back till much later in the night."
