After texting Dean that morning, he slowly made his way into the kitchen to grab breakfast. Today was Sunday, and Cas normally did not open until 10, which gave him 3 hours until opening.
He grabbed the plastic bowl and the Cheerios before pouring the milk into his cereal. Cas turned on the TV and sat on the little couch that was positioned in front of it.
Jess and Jo, the news anchors for the news channel, smiled brightly into the camera as they gave their reports. Jo occasionally glared to the side or rolled her eyes at certain sentences, but still kept her composure. Castiel smiled to himself, thinking of how Jo and her mother were similar in some ways.
When he was finished, Cas put his bowl into the sink and finished getting ready. Twenty minutes later, he was out the door and walking around the small town that he called home.
