**| Sang's POV |**

We talked while we ate. I learned Kota's favorite color was hunter green, Victor's was silver, Gabriel's was orange, Nathan's was red, and Luke's was baby blue.

Nathan liked training, practicing martial arts, he even said he would show me some moves if I wanted to learn.

Gabriel was an artist. He painted the mural that took up an entire wall in the diner. I kept staring at it during lunch and he finally told me he did it. He seemed almost shy when he told me and when I told him I loved it, I didn't think he believed me.

Kota was definitely of the nerdy variation. I knew this when we talked about classes we were interested in yesterday. We had a moment today, talking about the Harry Potter series. He had the whole collection in his room.

Victor loved music and we got into a short discussion on our favorite classical songs. I liked Winter by Vivaldi, he enjoyed the song. He also played the piano and when I stared at the small piano that was on the stage, he promised to play for me soon. I couldn't hold back my excitement. I've always wanted to learn to play an instrument, especially the violin or piano, so I'm always amazed when I meet someone who does know how to play.

Luke really was something. He was in and out but always made sure to swing by and check up on us each time. His energy was overflowing and he was always quick to smile and joke around. The boys told me about some of the pranks he did on them and Luke even showed me photographic proof he keeps on his phone as a memento.

I didn't see North again but he wasn't far from my thoughts. The boys assured me he was always like that. Gruff and quiet. It wasn't his attitude that kept him in my thoughts though, it was his presence. He felt so familiar to me and I had suspicions but there just was no way. He couldn't be that boy when I was ten. He just couldn't. Life didn't work that way. Once someone was gone, that's it. They're gone.

We finished up eating and headed back to Kota's house so he could check up on Jessica. A waitress came into work so Luke was able to call it quits and joined us.

We were walking back, Kota, Victor, and Nathan ahead of Luke, Gabriel, and me. Gabriel was going on about a shopping trip he wanted to do when Luke's gaze settled on me.

He gave me a playful wink before turning back to Gabriel and interrupting his rant about finding the right paint color for some project he was working on.

"A favor says Nathan is commando today." Luke nodded towards Nathan.

Gabriel stopped talking and opened his mouth but no words came out. He shut it and then looked over Nathan as if trying to see through his clothes. He shook his head. "No fucking deal."

Luke turned to me. "You in?"

My eyes narrowed slightly as I tried to understand what he was asking me. I gave up and asked, "What is commando?"

The two of them stared at me wide-eyed before chuckling.

"You're too fucking adorable," Gabriel said, flinging his arm over my shoulder and drawing me into his side.

My body stiffened at the sudden touch and I had to work really hard to not pull away as thoughts of my stepmother reaching out to me came to mind.

"We call it commando when people aren't wearing underwear," Luke explained, drawing me out of my musings. When his words clicked, I blushed, my face burning. Luke and Gabriel chuckled and Luke squeezed me into his side before letting me go. "So are you in?"
