Jade Pov
We got off the stage so the others can go
"Oh my goodness Jadey you killed it" said Amaya hype asf
"Lordddd" I said shocked
"You didnt tell us lil killa was joining us" said Amaya
"Well he said dont have your hopes up high" I said
Amaya nodded
"How many people left?" I said
"About two or three" said Amaya
"Okayy" I said
"Ooo im so happy right now!" said Amaya giving me a hug
"I can tell but I wasnt all that good lil killa and Chersanto killed it" I said
"Jade I wasnt good" said Chersanto  coming over here
"Yes you was" I said "Especially at that one part" I added
"But my love for you is one thing that is true" I sang

"Im serious Chersanto" I said "Anways Juney going to come back here?" I added
"He said he gonna stay in the crowd and defend you if they do you bogus" said Amaya
"Awww ok" I said
After 10 minutes it was time for everybody well the people who performed to get on the stage
"Yo Jade!" said Deshawntae out of no where
I turned around "D you suppose to be out there" I said
"I know im warning you I know im not suppose to snitch but earlier today I seen Val bribe the judges" said Deshawntae
"How much?" I said
"50" said Deshawntae
I shook my head "Okay defend me" I said
Deshawntae nodded and went through the exit door
I followed the others onto the stage
I felt a cold chill come up my arm "Ooo" I said to myself
"Okay what wonderful performances we got here tonight give it up for them" said The lady
Of the course the white people started to clap not to be racist we divided we rather stick with our race then others but I hang out with all races
"Okay now lets announce the places" said the lady opening the envelope
She started to announce the places
It took her a good 3 mins first place 100 dollars and get to compete other schools 2nd place 50 dollars third 25 dollars
3rd place went to one of my choir buddies
I can feel Valencia giving me a glare
I gave her one back and mouthed "You cheated but do you boo"
A little frown came on her face I smirked then drop it
"First place goes to.." said The lady
My heart started to race
"Goes to" said the lady struggling to open the envelope
"It doesnt take that long to open a damn envelope" said Somebody in the crowd which was a very impaient person.
There was a few laughs after that
It took her at least 30 secs to get it open
"First place goes to-" said the lady
She got cut off by the assistant principal she came on the stage and hand her a different piece of paper
"Huhmhm First place goes to Jade!" said The Lady with a smile
My jaw dropped
Everybody got loud started to clap and cheer
I cant believe I won the talent show
"This isnt over"  said Valencia taking her second place prize
I smiled and grabbed my prize I also got a trophy im going to give to lil Killa he has no types of trophies even though he really good at basketball and football

"Jadey won! yay!" shouted Amaya running to me
"Lol no we all won" I said
"Awwww and that's a nice looking trophy " said Amaya
"I know right but somebody deserves it more than me" I said looking over at where the seniors are
"Jaedy are you bout go over there and it give to lil killa" said Amaya
"Yea why not?" I said
"Jade they dislike freshmens" said Amaya
"I know but Lil killa should be with Corey and them" I said
"Wait Corey actually came?" said Amaya
"Yea because Ashanti hes my walk home" I said
She nodded
"Okay here I go" I said
I took a breath and went to where the seniors are and started to look for Lil killa
It took me a min to find Lil killa of course he was with Corey and them they was messing around with Val older sister and her group of friends
I rolled my eyes I can careless of course Corey was messing around with Veronica I swear if they get into a relationship its gonna be hell.
"I think we should go back" said Amaya quietly
I nodded in a agreement
We turned around before we got the chance to start walking
"Aye!" said Corey
I turned around "What" I said
Of course Corey was gonna act extra tough "Don't what me! bring yo ass over here its time to go a nigga is tired" said Corey
"I gotta get D and see-" I said
Corey arched his eyebrow "See who?" said Corey
"Ummm nobody im going to get D" I said rushing to where all the sophomores is at
One fact is that these sophomores at my school got a lot of energy
"Congrats Jade!" I heard behind me
I turned around it was Serg my heart started to race
"Ummm Serg its shocking seeing you here" I said
"Supporting some of my friends" said Sergio
I nodded with no words
He grinned showing some of his pearl white teeth "How it feels to be a winner" said Sergio
"Im shocked but im not a winner everybody is so yea" I said
He nodded "You look nice by the way" said Sergio
I kinda turned red
Amaya elbowed me to clear my act cause June and D is making their way over here
"GO JADE!" said Deshawntae cheering me on in a fun way just to make me turn red
"Oh stop it D" I said with a laugh
"What I gotta cheer my fav on " said Deshawntae
I giggled and gave him a hug

I went to June "Juney?" I said
"Chubby bunny" said June
I blushed "Anyways did we do good?" I said
"Nahh" said June
I looked at him real quick
He did a laugh "Yall did awesome on that stage" said June
I smiled "Hmmm" I said

"What part is mostly stuck in your head?" I said "And sing it" I added
"Jade I cant sing for shit" said June
"Oh well" I said
He cleared his throat "Dont judge me" said June
"No worries I wontt" I said

He started to sing a whole verse of the song I couldnt believe it he can actually sing
I felt weak
"JUNE!" I said after he was done
"I know I know I did bad" said June
"Nooo that was amazing you should join the church choir" I said
"I would for the lord and savior himself but im not a good singer" said June

"I rather stick to comedy" said June
I shook my head "Anyways big football game tomorrow you ready" I said
"Hell yea" said June

"Lets take a walk" said June
"Juneee remember what happen plus my brother Corey hes is my walk home cause of Ashanti" I said

"We gotta leave right now before Corey comes-" I said
"AYE THERE HE GO!" We heard somebody loudly in the crowd

Its too late but there's still time to run
I grabbed June hand "We gotta blast like" I said with a small smile

"Thats rightt" I said
We took flight towards the gates
