"Four murders. Four suspects. One killer. All killings are carried out with the precision of that of a trained assassin. Each murder carried out in a different way, each more elaborate than the last. However, one thing they all have in common, after the victim has been killed, four symbols are carved into the right arm. A diamond ♢, heart ♥, club ♣ and a spade ♠. Each category out of a pack of cards. Leaving us with four main suspects, 'The Deck'." Near begins flicking playing cards around the room, sending them flying through the air. "I feel as if this case should have a name, you know, like the 'Kira case'. Hmm. Well, everything to do with this case has an element which links to cards and card games... The Poker Case would be quite fitting."
Placing down the four files, the young detective begins to think out loud. "So, these are our four main suspects in the 'Poker Case'. All highly skilled in all areas including hand-to-hand combat and weaponry."
With a slight sigh, Near twirls one of his delicate fingers through a lock of his light hair. "From personal experience, I know that none give up easily and will do anything to protect one another. All are highly dangerous if you make it to their bad side, much like myself, yet extremely protective of those close to them."
The boy pushes a toy car around the track surrounding him, as he places four playing cards, a diamond, heart, club and spade, on the corresponding files. Yet keeping hold of the diamond whilst he carries on his thought "However three are quite calm and you would not initially suspect them of such a crime."
Placing the final card down on (y/n) (l/n)'s file he concludes his analysis. "But, she is the most skilled and dangerous of all. Her smarts, skill and short temper are not a good combination. Much like Mello, she allows her emotions to take over."
"Out of all of 'The Deck', Diamond is the most likely to commit the crimes."
