Aparri X Reader // Fearless

Chapter 4

  Ahhh... Welcome back. I see you just couldn't wait for the next chapter, yet, poor soul, you had to. I mean, who on earth could be so cruel enough to you, making you wait impatiently for this beautiful chapter. ):P
BTW in a moment you will see a new word that some genius whom I have no idea who they are *cough ,sarcasm, cough* made up on the spot. Use that word and get it out there, for me. ;)  (I luv winky face)

You're in the medical center when you wake up. You look down at your legs and cringe. There was a bloodstained cast around one leg and the other hurt too much to look at.

  "Honey? (USR)? Are you awake?"

  You moan as a response.

  Your nurse, a jolly penguin, turns around and says,"yes doctor, she's awake." Then she turns back to you. "You're going to be fine, darling. You'll only be in here for a few days." She twirls around ready to leave and mutters something under her breath. "Oh wait. Here you go." The flabby blob of joy swiftly pulls a quilted blanket over your back legs. "Things heal better when you don't look at them." She smiled warmly at you then *flobbled* away.

  You sigh. There was literally nothing to do, nowhere to go, nobody to talk to, aka complete boredom. For about three whole freaking days. Laying there. Eat soup for every meal. Being bored. Yay. What a life.

  After a day or so of being at the clinic, you catch a fever and are forced to stay there for an extra two days. Your fever doesn't go down until a week later but you would've had to stay the same amount of rime even without your fever so your wound could heal.

  "Ok, (USR). You are supposed to go back to camp tomorrow if you feel well and don't get sick again." Your doctor chuckled. He was an arctic fox with light blue swirls imprinted on his fur and was kind of cute, but he was way too old for you, by like 15 years. 

  You sigh heavily. You've been in this dumb little hospital for 2 weeks now, so you better not get sick or you'll probably die of boredom. 

That night you're thinking about Aparri, how he saved you, risked his life for you. You hadn't gotten a chance to tell anyone straight out what ever happened to Aparri. Nobody at the clinic bugged you about him, but everyone at camp are probably worried sick about what happened to him. They've most likely forgotten all of their fighting techniques. Then your nurse, the chubby, happy penguin, came to you and sat down at your bed. "So, you're leaving tomorrow... I'm going to miss you." She commented. "But don't even think about hurting yourself so you can come visit us." 

  "Oh don't worry, Penny." You answer her. "I won't." You smile at her. She was very kind to you and made you laugh.

  "So, i hope you don't mind me asking, but why were you out of camp so late? We saw phantom goop on you, but we don't know how you got that on you." She looked at you with care as she was saying this.

  You weren't very comfortable saying this, but you knew you had to get it out sometime and sooner was better. "Well..." You tell about going out of your tent, the walk and how you felt, the phantoms and how Aparri saved you, risking his life and then trudging to the clinic.

  "Oh my, so you stopped a hoard of phantoms from invading camp? Wow. Who knew we were going to get destroyed in our sleep if you hadn't disobeyed Aparri's strict order to stay in camp."Penny thought aloud. "But what i'm pondering about is how did Aparri know where you were? Did he follow you? Or your scream when the female phantom squashed you?"

  "Maybe..." You answer. But why would he follow you? Was he following you to protect you or to see what you were doing? Or maybe he smelled to phantoms too? Or maybe he didn't follow you, but how else would he get there that fast? Maybe Aparri was just out in the woods, but why would he be out there when he told everyone to stay in their tents? Was there there something he was hiding? All these questions jumbled around through your brain at once and you were so confused. Penny had left your room a while ago but she left you think about all these questions until you just gave up and went to sleep, the whole night thinking: What was Aparri doing out of camp?
