Aparri X Reader // Fearless

Chapter 8

OK so hi peoplez! So before I start this chapter, I want to thank you guys so much for all the support and for 6 followers!!

 I know that 6 followers is like well only 6 but I'm so syked (<< is that even how you spell it? lol)
So I want to challenge you all to help me reach 10 followers pls!!

   Early in the morning, you find yourself eating breakfast and yapping cheerfully with all your friends - a Egg McMuffin and some Captain Crunch cereal. (IF YOU YOUNG'NS EVEN KNOW WHAT THAT IS) 

   While you were finishing up with your food, a thought crossed your mind: Where's Aparri? You started sort of freaking out and hyperventilating and felt yourself get dizzy. Wait. Why am i doing this, about Aparri? Have i become one of his fan-girls? 

   You trotted to Aparri's tent to see if he was there. He wasn't. You checked in the training grounds. Nope. You checked in the kitchen. Not there. Giving up, you walked out of the camp with just a sliver of hope that he would be out in the woods. When you got to your favorite spot you sat down to think, soothed by the beautiful setting around you. The cherry trees scatted thoroughly throughout the birch forest with the very tip of the sun peeking out from behind the grassy hills. Looking around you, you realized that any day now, the phantoms could just destroy all this beauty and fill it up with the rotten stench of phantom goop and take it all away. You decide to lay down on a flat rock, but before you do, you smell Aparri's scent drifting on the the wind.

   You whipped around tail wagging to see a dark red figure, whose crimson eyes glowed in the darkest shadows, but you shrink away when a see him stalking up from the bushes, but realize he's smiling. It was a loving, caring smile. It sent shivers from your ears to the end of your tail and made you feel happy and smile back. He stepped on the rock and came up to you so your fur is brushing. You felt like that moment could last forever, but it lasted no more than a few seconds. 

   You looked at Aparri. "Ummm, Aparri?" you ask. "You've been acting a little weird lately..." You tell him awkwardly.

   He paused to think before answering. "Ever since i as taken by the phantoms, i realized i should relish the time that i have here. Everyone knows how to fight already so why do i have to teach them how to do it more? It would be good for all of us to just take a break from all that so i just decided to stop teaching those pointless classes. It helps everyone get off the stress of it off their backs anyways. Was that a good choice, (USR)?"

   You let all that sink in. It made since, but the everyone has to practice fighting in order to be good at it. You were going to tell him it wasn't all that smart, but when you looked up at him, you saw his innocent eyes and immediately replied "Yes. I think that was a good choice." You didn't realize much that you had said that but at the moment, it didn't matter. 

   You stared into his eyes. You looked deep into his eyes and he looked deep into yours, like he was looking straight into you. It was a beautiful moment. You then brushed your muzzle against his, but at that moment you heard something. It made your instinct scream Turn around! What is it? But everything else made you want to stay, with Aparri.
   Aparri backed away slowly still looking straight into you, his amazing eyes making you shiver with excitement at every step he takes backwards. "Aparri, I-" you were cut off as suddenly something prevented you from speaking. Right then you realized you mistake, you knew you should've done it, but you didn't. You didn't look behind you. There, right behind you, was a hideous, purple, floating, octopus. You know that's right: A phantom.
  And it just so happened to be the exact same elder phantom that took Aparri - and not the Aparri standing right in front of you. Not this grey, gross, greedy Aparri (who happened to be just as handsome as the real one.)
   You shook yourself out of your thoughts ready to fight, but the phantoms had already tied up tour mouth and paws. You looked at that Aparri clone angrily. Looking into his eyes you realized that it was fake love in his eyes the time. Now he looked totally different. He looked like he was glad you were out of the way and that now he could do his real work.
  Next thing you know you're waking up in a cell at the phantom fortress. You had know idea which cell you were in and where it was located, but you didn't really care. Yo were just glad that you weren't at camp and with that Aparri clone. You were just glad to see that you were away from him. Away from Dark Aparri.

OK so now does it make sense? OK. Probably doesn't.
So. You know that scanner thing that the phantoms scanned Aparri with? That was a cloning machine which they used to make Dark Aparri with. That's why his fur was black. The reason he talked weird because that's how phantoms talk.
