Oh, this was rich.
"I told you, I'm just taking you to the carnival, is that so hard to believe?" Your curly-haired consultant snapped. Yep, it was.
"Yes, it is. Because you never do anything that you deme 'normal' and 'boring'. It just makes no sense, Sherlock." You loved carnivals growing up, so when Sherlock mentioned the idea of going to one, you knew it was too good to be true. Your boyfriend would never exactly be considered 'normal' and that was one of your favorite things about him. The few dates you guys had been on were... Unique, to say the least. Once, you guys interrogated a serial-killer as an anniversary date. It was actually a lot of fun, so when Sherlock said 'carnival' and 'date' in the same sentence, you were positive he had an ulterior motive.
"I can't just take you out for a date?" He rolled his eyes, and you started to feel bad... But there was something up.
"No, you cannot. I'll go, but I want to know why we're going." He considered it for a moment, and that's how you knew he was lying.
"Fine. John had been trying to talk me into this boring case I don't want, but there's nothing else to do. Besides, it's more fun than dinner, so I figured, 'why not?'. Happy?" He explained, lying through his teeth. Yes, John had been trying to get you both on a case, but that wasn't the reason why. Though, it was the fair... Ah, why not?
"Okay, then. Let's go." You grabbed your tan trench coat, and Sherlock followed your motions, grabbing his black one. You bounded out of the flat, and Sherlock just acted as if he didn't know this 'child' he was taking out. Secretly, he snuck glances at you, just to make sure you were alright. You got a cab, and Sherlock jabbered out the address, and you say in blissful silence the whole ride there. He had his gun, so maybe a criminal? But he usually outwits them... Maybe... A villain? Who could he be meeting here, that he needs a gun for? You'd find out soon enough, might as well not dwell on it. Sherlock escorted you from the cab to the colourful paradise, with rides and crazy foods. Children laughing, lovers romancing, it was everything you remembered. Sherlock bought forty tickets for each of you, and you instantly pulled him to the line of a random ride. It appeared to be one of those zero-gravity ones, which had always been your favorite. You noticed Sherlock scanning the area, and did the same. You analyzed each person carefully, but none of them stuck out. You shrugged it off, and pulled Sherlock onto the ride with you. He was confused at first, but had to hold your hand for dear life as the ride began spinning. You held him tightly, as he stumbled off, leaning on you for support. You couldn't help laughing at the still fear-stricken expression on his features.
"How about we get some kabobs, yeah?" You chuckled as he carefully shook his head, still looking rather nauseous. You say him down at a table, and got in line. There was a gentleman in front of you, speaking on his phone. His black hair was the good kind of messy, and he had pretty pedestrian clothes on, but something felt... Off, about him. You listened in on his phone call, and realized the thick Irish accent that accompanied his high voice, and annoyed tone.
"Of course I'm sure, Moran! Surveillance says he has a girlfriend now, and that means they go on dates, correct? Exactly. So, where better to search for my favorite 'Angel'," he said the words so sarcastically, you almost doubled over with laughter, "Than a carnival, where his girlfriend is rumored to love. See? Perfect sense!" He seemed to realize someone was listening in, and you immediately focused on what you wanted. You read the menu, partially intrigued by who this man was looking for. He spun partially around to look at you, and you pretended to feel creeped out.
"It's rude to stare." You said snappily. One of Sherlock's favorite things about you; you were the Queen of sass. You snuck a glance in his direction, and realized why he seemed so familiar.
"Ah, now I see the point of all this." You thought out loud, confusing Moriarty.
"What ever do you mean?" He replied, seeming to not realize who you are. Not exactly a bad thing.
"Oh, nothing." You smirked, and pulled out your phone, messaging Sherlock. Moriarty's eyes narrowed at you.

From You;
Sherly, dearest, your friend, JM, is here in line with me. How coincidental? I knew something was up. Come catch your villain, non-hero!
~Y/I

You smiled at your message. You noticed Sherlock heading your way, and tapped Moriarty on the shoulder.
"Oh, what the hell do you want?" He snapped angrily. His eyes were fuming, and Sherlock wasn't kidding when he said he had troubles keeping tempered. It must be annoying to not be able to find Sherlock and his girlfriend. Especially one so 'ordinary' that she enjoys carnivals.
"Oh, nothing, but I believe you mentioned you were looking for me, and my- Ah! There he is!" Sherlock joined you, looking a little ticked he wasn't the one to find Moriarty. You scoffed at his childish antics, and lightly tossed your head to signify to join you.
"See, dots aren't hard to connect, especially when your painfully obvious." Moriarty looked you over once more, realizing he had been fooled previously. He let a small, evil smirk play onto his lips.
"Tsk, tsk. And I really thought you were just some random person, how silly of me!" He sang. He eyed you closely once more, if you hadn't known any better, you'd say he was checking you out, but luckily you did.
"But you were wrong, by the way." He narrowed his eyes, slightly angered with you.
"Oh?" He hissed. You looked to Sherlock who had been moving ever closer every time Moriarty's eyes scanned you for the details he had previously missed.
"Yes. The only reason Sherlock brought me here was as a cover to look for you. Fair's are too cliché for him, oh, you know how it goes." Moriarty brightened up a bit, but immediately snapped his fingers. A small whizzing sound, then a pain like a mosquito biting you in the base of your neck. You began feeling heavy, and heard a gun clock to your head. Sherlock stepped away, and you felt two bulky arms catch you as your body became too heavy to carry, before slipping into an unknown darkness.
