as i drove over to the party, i look down at my phone to see it lighting up and buzzing, making me answer it.

nate was calling me.

as i pick up my phone, clicking the green button to answer, nate's phone crackles on the other end. "jen."

"nate, what do you need? i'm on my way," i roll my eyes, keeping them on the dark highway.

"i just have to tell you something before you come."

"i'm like twenty away, you can wait."

"but i can't wait, jen, just let me tell you," nate angrily says, breathing in and out before telling me what he needed to.

"i'm...i'm the blocked number."

i gasp, acting surprised, taking my eyes off the road for a split second.

looking at my phone quickly, not only five seconds later my vision is blurry as i felt my car spin in multiple circles.

"shit!" tears come springing out my eyes as i felt my heart pounding quickly.

someone just ran into me.

or i just ran into someone.

the last thing i felt or heard was nate on the other line, trying to yell and see if i was alright.

then, i blacked out.
