Desmond: he doesn't try too hard to impress your parents. He really just tries his best to be at least appropriate enough for your parents to not hate him. Your parents aren't the happiest with your decision but they love seeing you happy
Haytham: he tries WAYYYYY to hard, he wants to impress your parents (because idefk, Haytham is so weird) of course your parents are impressed by how civil and amazing he is that they want to see him again
Connor: he doesn't ever need to try to impress your parents, they love him and how polite he can be as well as how protective of you he is. They love Connor
Charles: he doesn't meet your parents, he's too nervous so you call them instead, your parents seem to like him, not that much though
