Ayesha's POV

But he interrupted me! I feel myself getting angry again. I look at him to find him smiling again. Is he crazy or what? He keeps smiling all the time.

Pushing the thoughts aside, I tear a page from my notebook and write a note. As the car stops at the university gate, I hand him the note nervously, grab my bag and walk towards the university. Jogging towards my locker, I see Ayyan and Anaya talking to each other. I turn towards the side so that they can't see me.

My heart aches, I really want to talk to them. I will apologize to them at cafeteria.

I look at my plan to see my first class is Chemistry. I take my books and walk towards my class.

As the careless girl I am, I bump into a wall.

"Ahh!" I groan in pain and look up to see Ayyan. So it wasn't a wall after all.

"Ayyan!" I exclaim. His chest is as hard as a wall.

"Someone's blind today," He teases.

"Very funny," I say.

I punch him on the shoulder, playfully and walk towards my class, a smile creeping on my face.

"We will talk to you in the cafeteria!" I hear him yell and I look back and nod.

Lunch break

I hear the bell ring and take my stuff and pack my bag. I run towards the cafeteria and hit a wall, again. I look up to the the person which I dread the most. Qazim Ansari, the most famous guy in the university. Almost all the girls adore him. Well, except me, of course.

Why is every guy's chest like a wall!

"Hey!" He says, smiling brightly. His teeth are brighter than my future, note the sarcasm. "Are you okay?' He asks, probably showing fake concern.

I roll my eyes

"Hi. Yeah I'm okay." I reply awkwardly.

"You might need glasses you know..." He says, clearly teasing me. A million dollar smirk on his face. I want to wipe that smirk off his face. Jerk..

"Um, no thank you. My eye sight is perfect," I reply, confidently. "Now If you'll excuse me, I have to go. My friends are waiting for me," I say, and start walking towards the cafeteria as fast as I can.

"Oh okay, See ya later!" He replies. More like yells.

"See you never again," I grumble, annoyed.

I walk towards the table where Ayyan and Anaya are sitting.

I sit on the chair and say,"I really am blind today,"

"Told ya," Ayyan says, stuffing more French fries in his mouth.

"Why? What happened," Anaya asks.

"I walked into Ayyan first and now Qazim!" I say, rolling my eyes.

"The guy who's famous in the whole university?!" Anaya exclaims. "You're so lucky!" She says, excitedly.

"There's nothing good about it," Ayyan says, jealous.

I giggle.

He rolls his eyes and continues eating.

"Anaya... I think I smell something burn..?" I say, trying to control my laughter.

"I know, right. I smell it too," Anaya says, playing along.

"Yeah, it's probably coming from you," He says to Anaya, frowning.

Anaya winks at me, and says,"What did you say?! I'm leaving!" She exclaims getting up and walks away.

I try to control my laughter.

"Naya, wait!" He yells, standing up.

"Oooo, Nayaaaaa!" I exclaim, teasing him.

He groans and says, "Yeah, it's her new nick name,".

They clearly like each other, why don't they get together. I feel a tinge of jealousy but ignore it.

I look over to Anaya, to see her giggling. She returns to the table and we burst into laughter.

"Why are you guys laughing?!" He asks, confused.

"We... we..re.. just... messing.. aro...und," I say, in between my laughs. "Anaya's idea," I point towards her after calming down. He rolls his eyes, and looks down but I still catch him smiling.

"Ayesha... I'm sorry.. Are you still upset?" Anaya says, suddenly.

"Nah, it's okay and...I'm sorry too.," I smile.

Ahmed's POV

I smile at the happy kid, showing his friends how much he earned. I move the car as the signal opens, I look at Ayesha through the car, for the eighteenth time now, to see her expression a soft one rather than the angry face she has on all the time. Well... I guess she does have a heart which melted seeing the kid happy. But the soft expression does last too long as it changes to a angry one again and I smile at how quickly her mood changes. I then stop the car at the university, she hands me a note and heads towards the university door, leaving me with a frown.

I read the shocking note and keep it in my pocket. Trying not to think too much about the note, I pull away from the university and start my work.

A couple hours later

I stop at the mall seeing a lady waving her hand for a taxi. The lady was probably in her 20s with her auburn brown hair, gray eyes like Ayesha's..Wait, why am I thinking about Ayesha? I shake my head and look at the strangely familiar lady.

She has red lips and a lot of makeup. Her outfit showed off her arms and was too tight.

"Lower your gaze, Ahmed!" I said to myself and I immediately looked down.

I could tell from the corner of my eyes that she was looking at me with a shocked expression. And for some reason... Those eyes seem familiar.... This lady's eyes were a darker shade of gray, yet it seemed familiar. I don't know what's wrong with me.

"Stop thinking too much," I said to myself.

"Kahan jana hai?" I asked, still looking down.

No reply...

I look up to see her running towards the mall, again.

Umm? What was that? Why would she run away?

When she was near me, it felt so weird. She didn't seem like a stranger but it felt like I knew her.

Pushing the thoughts and the weird feeling aside. I drive towards a new restaurant for lunch break.
