You and Zayn have been dating now for about a year and a half and you could not be happier. You love this boy, but you both have still not said it to one another.

Zayn is always really busy with work so a lot of your relationship is over technology. At first, it didn't both you but now since you have been dating for so long you are not really sure if you can handle this distance for such long periods of time for much longer.

You were about to leave to go surprise Zayn at the studio because the boys told you they would be there soon. You haven't seen him in week and are so excited.

You look at yourself in the mirror one more time then head out the door to your car

--- At the Studio ---

You put your car in park and run to the doors. You enter through the back door and instantly someone runs up and hugs you close

"Y/N!!!!!" he yells

"Nialler!!! I missed you so much best friend"

"Zayn is in the next room. He thinks he is coming to your place after this so he will be surprised to see you so soon" he says smirking and kissing you on the cheek before he heads in the room where Zayn and the other boys are.

You walk slowly and then stand right in the doorway
It takes Zayn about 10 seconds to notice you but once he does he..... does nothing?

"Y/N... what are you doing here?" he asks confused

"I thought it would be nice to surprise you..." you say even more confused

"I am working right now you know that. I will see you at home" he says simply

"I haven't seen you for weeks and thats what you have to say to me..." you say angrily now

What the fuck is wrong with him?

"Uhm boys, lets give them a sec" Niall says and the others leave. As soon as they leave Zayn starts to speak up.

"Damnit Y/N! I am working!" he says throwing down his audio equipment and finally giving you his full attention

You start tearing up at this moment... you have no idea why he is being so cold

"Sorry, won't happen again" you say before running out of the studio

"Wait!" you hear Zayn yell right before you get out of the studio but it was to late now

You turn on your car and drive away as fast as you possibly can. You cannot believe that just happened.

You are now in your bed bawling your eyes out and you keep hearing your phone go off but you don't check it because you really honestly don't care who it is.

After awhile you hear your front door open to your house and somebody yell your name... "Y/N? Where are you?"

"Im up here" you manage to say through your tears

You hear him run up the steps and through your bedroom door and jumps on your bed to give you a big hug

"Im so sorry Y/N. I should've known he would've been stressed and not himself" he hugs you tight

"I don't want to ever see him again. I don't even know why I care, its not like he loves me or anything" you say crying even more
"Are you kidding me?! I have never seen him SO in love with someone before" he says surprised
"Then why hasn't he told me?" you ask confused and still crying
Niall wipes away your tears and says, "because he is Zayn. that is what Zayn does"
"Where is he?" you ask
"He figured since you weren't answering his texts or calls that you wanted to be alone" he says grabbing you some tissues
"Thanks" you say
"We go on tour tomorrow and don't get back for a couple months" he says
"You don't think I know that?" you say
"Zayn is in the car. You can go and talk to him now if you want, if you need more time he said that was okay too" he says
"I really don't think I can see him right now" you say before laying back down
"I will tell him. Love you so much Y/N" Niall says before kissing your forehead and going out the door
"Love you too" you say before falling into a deep sleep hoping to wake up and this nightmare will be over

--- The Next Morning ---
You wake up even worse than the night before. This time, regretful. Why did I not go and say bye to Zayn and finally tell him I love him? He is gone now for 2 months and I don't even know where we stand.
You look at your phone in a panic and read some of the messages from Zayn
You start crying again reading them...

TEXTS:
Y/N, please respond. I am going crazy without knowing you forgive me.

How am I supposed to go on tour and sing love songs when I know you're mad at me?

I was really stressed and didn't mean anything I said. My manager told me to change a couple of my solos in the new songs and thats why I was freaking out.

You can't believe how stupid you were. You should've known management made Zayn do something incredibly difficult the night before their tour because that's what they always do. You start bawling again thinking about how dumb you were and how much you just wanted to be in his arms again.

---- 4 hours later ---

You turn on the news like Zayn said to do and watch their interview and performance... you get into about half way through the interview

Interviewer: So boys, which ones of you are single?

You see Liam, Niall, and Harry raise their hands. Thank god Zayn didn't. You see the boys look and Zayn and he just looks at the floor

Interviewer: Zayn, are you alright?

You see Zayn put his hands over his face to avoid people from seeing him cry on live television. Oh gosh... Zayn never crys. What have I done?

Harry: Zayn, it's okay

Niall: Zayn just went through a pretty rough time with his girlfriend back home, they will be okay though. I know it

Zayn: I really messed up

Interviewer: You mind explaining what happened?

Zayn: (he wipes his tears away and starts to talk) I got really stressed about work and took it out on the one person that I never wanted to freak out on. She is my everything and I love her so much. If you're watching this Y/N, please forgive me.

He looks straight into the camera and you knew right at the moment you needed to go and see him in person
You packed your things and went to the airport

--- After the plane ride ---

You rush to the hotel where the boys are staying and knock on the room door
Liam answers the door and you ask where Zayn is
"Y/N! You came thank goodness. Zayn is at the beach I believe" he says
"Thanks Liam!" you yell running down the hallway

--- At the Beach ---
You hear someone singing alone in the sand... Zayn.

His eyes are puffy and red as he has been crying
You wipe away his extra tears and he does the same for you
