Xrizcianno's Point of View
"I personally like your presentation, Mr. Montero. And I must say, I am convinced." Mr. La Croix, a British businessman, commented after my presentation.
I saw the others nod in agreement. I smiled at them. We are currently having our lunch meeting at Schulaika's where my secretary had reserved for us.
There are three investors I am meeting with: one British, one American, and one Filipino.
"Thank you, gentlemen. So, are you going to sign?" I asked.
"I will." Mr. La Croix answered.
"I am too, Mr. Montero. I must say you convinced me. Very impressive." Mr. Anderson, the American businessman, said.
Mr. Lastismosa, a Filipino businessman, got his fountain pen in the breast pocket of his suit. "Where do I sign, Mr. Montero?"
Smiling, I asked my secretary for the documents that they will be signing. I handed each one a copy and handed it back after putting their signatures on.
"Thank you, gentlemen." I said after giving the signed papers back to Ms. Lopez, my secretary. I shook hands with each one.
"No worries, Mr. Montero. We just wanted to gain out of this." Mr. Anderson said.
"Of course you will. This is my business after all." I assured them.
"Well, I expect good result with my investment." Mr. Lastimosa added.
"It will have a good result, Mr. Lastimosa. No worries." I said.
Just then, our orders came. We chose the Filipino Cuisine to let Mr. La Croix and Mr. Anderson taste Filipino foods.
Sinigang na hipon, chicken and pork adobo, pinakbet, chopsuey, caldereta, and menudo are what is on our table.
We put foods on our plate and started eating. My eyes automatically closed when the flavour of adobo exploded in my mouth. I even stopped the moan that was threatening to escape m mouth as I continue chewing the superb food.
Heaven.
"Goodness! This is superb Filipino dishes!" Mr. La Croix exclaimed.
"I can only agree. The flavours just explodes in your mouth! Very delicious!" Mr. Anderson commented as he stuffed foods inside his mouth.
"Indeed. This is the best cooking I have ever tasted! Pinakamasarap sa lahat ng natikman ko." Mr. Lastimosa agreed.
And I, too. God! The taste is heaven. Delicious and superb wouldn't compare.
"Whoever is the cook, he must be a graduate of a very famous culinary school!"
"Indeed. I would like to meet him."
"I will definitely comeback here."
Me, too. I would definitely comeback here. Again and again and again and again...
I called the waiter who passed by our table. "Yes, Sir?" he asked.
"Who's your chef?" I asked him.
His face mirrored confusion. "We have four chefs, Sir."
"Who cooked these?" I gestured to the foods on our table.
His eyes widened a little as he gazed back at me. "Oh, I think it is Chef Schulaika, Sir. She cooks Filipino cuisines. Is there any problem, Sir?"
"None. Can I meet her?"
"Chef's in the kitchen right now, Sir. Would you like me to call her?" he asked.
