Chapter IX: Akino's True Face Revealed

Diana's POV

Finally another Saturday in my highschool life! I can't wait to see Akino's reaction on her first Saturday! "Akino! Akino!"

I quickly went to our guest room. Not there. I went downstairs and checked every nook and cranny in our house. She was nowhere to be found.

Tinanong ko na lang ang aking nanay kung nasaan si Akino, "Mom, have you seen Akino? I checked the whole house, even the guest room, and I didn't see her."

"She said she was awake way before both of us were, even before your dad. She went outside and headed to the park."

I quickly rushed to the park. Hinanap ko nang hinanap si Akino. Bigla ko syang nakita sa gitna ng buong parke na hawak ang cellphone.

When I went closer, she clenched her fists and cracked her knuckles. She started talking in a low, angry voice.

"Diana? Bakit mo sinabi sa ibang tao na robot pala ako?"

After she spoke, cracks started to form on her face. Her skin fell off to reveal... metal skin?!?? Her blonde hair went to a dark black, her clothes turned black and white, and her beautiful black eyes were no longer black but her deep green eyes.

After, may bumuong malakas na ilaw na pumalibot sa kanya. Palakas nang palakas ang ilaw habang papalutang sya sa kalangitan.

Ang magandang kulay asul na kalangitan at malalambot na ulap ay mabilis na napalitan ng dark sky and extremely dark thunder clouds.

She suddenly shouted in the sky, "DIANA! YOU ARE DEAD TO ME! YOU'VE GIVEN ME MEDICINE, NOW IT'S TIME TO TAKE YOURS!!!"

Biglang naging kulay berde ang ilaw na pumapalibot kay Akino. And she started shooting lasers again, but no, not the normal- sized lasers, huge ones that looked like were formed by a thousand beams side by side.

I only had one thing in my mind at the moment: RUN!

She suddenly spotted me, at tinapat ang laser sa akin. I ran across a tree. Not only did it get obliterated, but in its place, a huge fire.

As we fought across the park, the fire from the tree quickly spread across the grass.

In just a few moments, napunta ako sa isang corner ng parke, the rest covered with fire. Akino slowly glided towards me, along with the flames going slowly towards my feet.

Then suddenly, a voice appeared behind me. A very familiar voice. Jerry's voice. "There you are, Diana!"

She carried me out just in time. The fire took out the corner just as Akino shot another huge laser. It caused an explosion which caused me and Jerry to fall on our feet. We got a few scars and we patched ourselves up. As we ran out of the scene, Akino shouted once more, "DIANA, I AM NOT YET FINISHED WITH YOU. ONE DAY, I WILL ONCE AGAIN RETURN TO YOU AND TAKE MY TOLL ONCE AGAIN!"

She continued flying into the sky hanggang sa hindi na sya makita. In just the snap of a finger, the sky returned to normal, at naayos muli ang parke na parang walang nangyari. We quickly ran to our homes.

Jerry's POV

OK. What the hell just happened? Did I just witness a frickin' scene of Akino ready to murder Diana? Oh no, she can't do that to the love of my dreams!

Diana and I quickly ran pabalik sa aming mga bahay. Nagmadali kami para ipalabas sa news.

Pumunta agad kami sa news tower ng aming city. We spoke out:

HELLO ALL PEOPLE! THIS IS A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT AND ALSO BAD NEWS:

A MAD ROBOT IS ON THE LOOSE! SHE HAS THE ABILITY TO DISGUISE AS A HUMAN. SHE CAN SHOOT DISINTEGRATION LASERS IN HER ROBOT FORM. PLEASE INFORM US IF YOU HAVE SPOTTED THIS ROBOT AND WE WILL DO WHAT IS POSSIBLE! THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND UNDERSTANDING!

"That was an awesome speech," Diana said over my shoulder. I didn't reply, but I nearly blushed. After our speech at the radio tower, dumiretso ulit kami pabalik sa bahay.

That stressed me out so much! I can't believe na totoo pala ang mga sinabi ni Diana noon. Ganito pala ang totoong pagkabuhay ni Akino. Paano pa kaya kung mayroon pa palang robot sa mundo maliban kay Akino?

That was the only thing going across my mind at that specific time. It was like a tiny person in my mind na may hawak na sobrang daming mensaheng ganoon, at nilalagay sa lahat ng parte ng utak ko, top to bottom.

Nang bigla akong nagising sa katotohanan. May tumatawag sa phone ko. Si Diana. Sinagot ko agad.

"Hindi ako makapaniwala sa naiisip ko! Totoo ba yun nangyari ngayon?"

"Na naging robot si Akino at halos sirain na yun buong parke kanina?"

"Mukhang totoo nga yun iniisip kong nangyari kanina. Dahil kapag hindi yun totoo, dapat ako lang nakakaalam. Eh alam mo rin, ibigsabihin, I wasn't dreaming."

"Don't worry, Diana. You're not the only one na hindi makapaniwala sa nangyari kanina. Wag na nang magtaka, at kasama kita noong nangyari iyon. Dapat magpasalamat ka nga sa akin at sa Diyos. Kung hindi pa kita naligtas kanina, eh di yun na ang huling hininga mo, huling pagkikita natin sa Mundo. At pati ako, ayaw ko sana na mangyari iyon. Hindi man lang ako nakapagsabi ng goodbye."

"Wow! Wag ka naman OA. Mas gusto pa kitang makitang umiiyak kaysa OA."

"Ok. Thanks for telling, I'll stop now. Salamat ulit sa pagtawag ngayon. I'll see you next time."

Then, I hung up. For a second, I still thought that I was dreaming. Then, nagising ako ulit sa katotohanan. But don't worry, that time, sariling utak ko yun gumising sa akin, not a call or a disturbing noise or anything.

Sana maligtas pa rin si Diana sa susunod when Akino comes to destroy us once again. Nakakatakot pa rin, parang feeling ko, hindi na maaalis sa utak ko. I think it's the same with Diana's brain. Sana lang, na sa susunod nilang pagkikita ni Akino, hindi pa yun ang lanyang katapusan dito sa mundong ito. I just hope.
