Chapter X: Will Akino Ever Return?

Jerry's POV

News is still spreading about "Akino-bot." Lol, but still, natatakot pa rin ako at baka biglang sumulpot si Akino sa harapan ko.

Then, suddenly, may tumapik sa akin. "S*it!" I shouted to their face. It was Diana I shouted to, at mukhang hindi sya natuwa.

"How dare you kung magmura sa harapan ko," she said to me.

I just shrugged, head down to the ground. "It's just... I'm so scared na baka biglang bumalik si Akino. I thought it was you. Sorry!"

"I'm scared, too. *insert creepy low voice* I WILL NEVER LOOK AT OUR PARK THE SAME WAY EVER AGAIN."

She paused for a second, tapos agad na umalis na walang kahit simpleng goodbye. I also paused for a second. I then headed upstairs papasok sa kwarto. I facepalmed my bed hanggang sa makatulog ako.

The next morning...

Nagising ako sa amoy ng masarap na almusal. Sinamahan ako ng nanay ko sa baba, habang kinakausap niya ako:

"You're lucky you already ate your dinner last night. Ayaw kita gisingin dahil ang sarap kasi ng tulog mo."

Diana's POV

Ang ganda pala ng view outside our house. Maraming bulaklak, magagandang bahay, itim na ulap... ITIM NA ULAP!??!??!?!?!!

I quickly grabbed the phone at tinawag ko si Jerry kaagad-agad.

"JERRY! JERRY! ULAP! AKINO! ITIM!"

"HUY! Kalmado muna, okey? Anong bang nangyayari?"

"SI AKINO, BUMALIK AT MUKHANG GUSTONG NIYANG MAGPAULAN!!! Jerry? Jerry, nandiyan ka pa ba?"

Mukhang ikinagulat niya yun sinabi ko, and he quickly put the phone down. I better take care of this myself.

Lumabas ako ng bahay, at biglang sumulpot si Akino sa aking harapan at nagwika ng, "Diana, nandito na ulit ako! MISS MO BA AKO?", ang rinig ko sa voicebox niya na nakalagay sa may bibig niya.

"How would I miss such a hideous face like that!?!!" She floated up, her eyes deep red. I joked, but she probably took it the wrong way.

Lightning started to crash down on the pavement. Everyon started fleeing back to their houses, kahit ako lang ang target ni Akino.

Nang pumatak ang ulan, Akino used her powers from the lightning para bumuo ng isang malaking kamay na gawa sa tubig.

She manipulates the water hand using her hand. Kasabay pa ng mga malalakas na lightning bolt AND her disintegration powers, I had no chance against her.

Well, of course, that's what I thought..... nang biglang dumating si Jerry! My baby..... erm, I mean..... My bestfriend and I ang makakatalo kay Akino.

A couple of times, sinusubukan naming mag- sneak palapit nang palapit sa kanya. Limang beses na nang halos matamaan na kaming dalawa ng lightning.

Eventually, nakadaan rin kami sa ginawang mga pagsubok ni Akino. Nakahanap kami ng emergency button sa likod niya. Nang pindutin namin, paunti- unting umitim ang mga mata ni Akino. Then, her robotic body vanished into thin air, which was then carried away by the winds.

Akino is gone, but we can't celebrate... yet. News has also been spreading about tiny robots infiltrating the city. These must be Akino's doings up in space... well, maybe not space...

Akino is dead. She is done. But, it looks as if naghanda sya ng para sa round 2 namin. We will all be down here, ready to fight. Para sa ating buhay at para sa mundong ito.

Jerry's POV

"Diana, we best be heading home. Don't forget that we still have classes tomorrow, then after that our vacation before 2nd year highschool. Time flies by, so fast, doesn't it?"

She just looked at me, nodded her head, ngumiti at diretsong pumasok sa bahay.

I better do what Diana did, at bumalik na rin ako sa bahay.

When I got home, I saw my mother frantically scurrying towards me in fear. "Dearie, you're alive. I heard the news about the robots. Nasaktan ka ba? May sugat ka?"

"Mom, I'm fine. Nothing to worry about," ang papangiti kong sabi sa kanya.

She also stopped and smiled, at nagbigay sya ng malaking yakap sa akin. And I accepted it gleefully anyway.

Katie's POV

Nakakatakot naman yun balita nila sa mga robot. Sana walang masamang nangyari kina Diana't Jerry.

Nang biglang, may tumawag sa aking phone.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Katie. It's Diana."

"Oh god, am I glad you're alive..."

"Me and Jerry, napatay namin si Akino. Pero, may iba pang nangyari."

"What? Mga maliit na robot?"

"How did you know?"

"The news was announced,at yun pa nga yun headline nila. OMG!!!"

"Well, it's glad you know about it, so you can prepare. See ya!"

"Bye!"

Binaba ko agad ang aking phone after the call has ended.

"...so you can prepare..." The heck, prepare for what? Yun mga robot? If that's what she was talking about, then, I'm out. I don't wanna be involved in this business.

Diana's POV

I just hope na talagang maghahanda si Katie. Hindi natin alam kung kailan susulpot ang mga robot ni Akino.

"Diana, kakain na," I heard my mother say from downstairs.

"Sige po, pupunta na po ako diyan," ang sagot ko naman sa sinabi niya.

I just worry that maybe, gagawa ang mga robot ng mas malakas na Akino, kaysa sa napatay namin ni Jerry a few hours ago.

Plus, bukas na pala ang last year namin sa 1st year highschool. Time does fly by so fast.

Bumaba na ako para kumain, upang ganahan ako sa last day namin bukas. I just hope na ready na sina Jerry at Diana for the space robot invasion. Who knows, baka bukas na sila sumulpot here on Earth? Who knows indeed?

***MESSAGE***

I am sorry that I haven't been posting for a while.

Reasons:
1. I am running low on ideas to put in the story.
2. We have classes.
3. It's almost time for us to graduate and really come into highschool. (I hope we will also get to know other highschool students that are named "Jerry" and "Diana".)

Anyways, I'll try to post whenever I can. Keyword: try.
