Why do autobots and SG decepticons protect humans?
No matter what they WILL end up dying like anything else in the universe.
But
we cybertronians would out live humans no matter what. A cybertronian could be a child and protect a human but once that human dies the cybertronian would not have aged that much. I honestly don't know why I decided to acknowledge this but it was just a thought that appeared in my processor it was just a recurring thought and I couldn't stop thinking about this.....so you could just ignore this I don't really care....
