I can't help but burst out laughing.
Her lips fight against the urge to smile,
trying to stay angry at me.
"Hey, Akiyama."
"Yes, Sakai."
"You know, the weather's great today."
"It really is."
"It's not supposed to rain for another week, you know?
"So?"
"Why are you here?"
She gives me a menacing frown
her nose scrunching up.
"Do I really need to say it?"
"Don't you know that boys are clueless?"
"They really are! Listen, there's this one super
dumb guy that sits across from me in the library..."
"Ah, I see. So that's how it's going to be, huh?"
She crosses her arms and continues to frown at me,
but underneath it all, I can sense a smile.
