How

could I tell her?

Should I tell her?

She helped me so much.

And here I am,

useless.

"Keichi? You listening?"

Keichi.

I look up- the world coming back into focus.

I was eating lunch with Takanashi.

A sudden realization.

"...Keichi?"

"Huh? Is it weird for me to say your name?" She scowls.

"It's my first name."

"So? I got used to you.

So I decided to call you by your first name. Got a problem?"

Takanashi's face is still scrunched in confusion.

I start laughing.

I get it. I'm the dumb one here for thinking

she cared about formalities like that.

"Jeez, you're so weird, y'know that?" She snorts.

"I know."

The courtyard is filled with a warm spring breeze,

messing with our hair.

"Ai."

"Is it okay for you to keep having lunch with me like this?"

Ai fiddles with her hair, using her smartphone as a mirror.

"What do you mean? Of course it is." I say.

She gives me a look that seriously seems as if it could kill.

"Your princess could be in the library."

Can you wait for me?

"You make it sound like she is waiting for me."

"You're still avoiding that place?"

She laughs.

"Grow a pair and just walk in. If she's there, great.

If she isn't, boohoo. Seriously Keichi. You're going to miss your chance."

I used to visit the library, like a ritual.
