When Tiana Holloway spotted the five colours taking over the grey of the sky, she couldn't help the smile that spread over her features.
Finally there was something to take her mind off the boredom she suffered from, something to lighten up the dull mood.
As it often occurred on days such as this, when her parents and sisters were gone and the silence at home began to weigh down on her, she hadn't been able to stand the loneliness, and therefore had made her way to town, aimlessly wandering about, in hope to find something worth her attention. Usually, this would be an interesting person, either in looks or personality, who could take her mind off of things for some time.
Sadly, it never took long until people figured out who she was. And then, like a switch turned, everyone became the same. Everyone would begin try to get in her good graces for the benefits her wealth and fame might bring.
As soon as Tiana noticed the typical symptoms of arse kissing though, she would bide her goodbye and be on her way, already on the lookout for the next thing to hold her attention.
Tiana Holloway was tired of this routine, but the boredom that would creep into her bones on days such as this was even worse.
Today though, this routine wasn't necessary, today it was something, not a someone that had caught her eye and planted a smile onto her lipstick-painted lips. The unusually bright rainbow practically promised that something was going happen, something that hopefully would snap Tiana out of the monotony of her life.
She couldn't have known that one has to be careful what to wish for, because sometimes, those wishes just might come true. And not always might it be in the way one expects them to.
