Chapter 16 ~ Forever Changed

~ Chapter 16 ~

I limped into the Dojo, not ready to see what was about to happen.

Splinter looked at me sadly, I had no clue why.

Then I saw it. My mom. She was laying on the floor, very pale, wrinkly and most of all...dying.

"Mom!" I shreaked and tried to run to her.

I fell but crawled to her side. "Mom." I said more softly.

Her eyes slowly opened and her head turned towards me. "Nickolette." Her voice was raspy, very raspy and her eyes were milky brown, no longer dark brown.

I clutched her hand. "Mom, w-w-whats happening to you?"

"A sickness. Very old with no cure. I remember now. Aruicko but me in the jar because he promised it would slow down the process." She said slowly.

"A-and I, I let you out and the process began again. I'M KILLING YOU!" I said, tears running down my cheek.

"Yes. But before I go-." She tried to say.

"No," I said in a harsh tone. "No, I have mutant powers. I can heal you." I said.

I glared at my hand and the blue light flickered. I was not going to lose my mom.

My mom pulled my hand down as I was about to heal her. "No, Nickolette. I have cheated death already, I need you to promise me something." She said softly, but sturnly.

"No! I can't lose you!" I said, trying to fight her mind. It wasn't letting me heal her.

"Please, promise me." She urged. "As a last request as I go."

The tears ran down my face faster and I started to sob. "W-w-what is it?" I managed to say.

"Find him. Find him for me." She said, tighting her grip on my hand.

"F-f-find who?"

"Look in the book. Find him." She said repeatedly.

I tried to say something else but she spoke again.

"I love you, Nickolette. Never forget who is the important ones in you life. And find him."

Her eyes began distant and she stopped breathing.

"No." I said. "No, no, no, NO!" I screamed as I clutched her limp body.

I crawdled her in my arms. I closed her eyes and sobbed. My only good family was taken away from me. All I had left was Shredder and there was no way I was going back with him. No, I was done with all this. Never again.

Splinter put his hand on my shoulder. I shook it off. I didn't need their simpathy.

I kept on crying and crying. Nothing was going to bring her back now.

Suddenly she began to feel lighter, I looked at her and she was glowing a wispy blue.

I let her go and her body dessolved into smoke. I blinked as it swirled around and dissappeared.

I cried hardered. Now she really was gone for good.

"Nick, I'm so sorry." Said Bekka as she hugged me.

"Sorry doesn't cut it this time." I snapped.

Bekka let go and backed up. "What?"

I stoody up and glared at them all. "She's gone! For good!! This ain't like April because her dad is still alive! ITS ALL YOUR GUYS FAULT!!!" I screamed at them.

Leo blinked. "Nick, we never knew this would happen. We-."

I shot him a death look. "I don't care Leonardo! IF YOU GUYS HAD JUST BELIEVED ME, MY MOM MIGHT STILL BE ALIVE!!!" I shouted. My body began to feel warm.

"Nick, calm down. Please." Said Bekka, softly.

"NO! SHE'S DEAD! THE ONLY FAMILY I HAVE LEFT IS THE SHREDDER!!!"

My whole body errupted in flames. They all backed away from me.

I didn't care. But when the flames died down, I was wearing my ripped jeans and "82" shirt with the black thermal under it.

I cried a little more. My whole life was crumbling to pieces.

"Please, stop shouting." Muttered Bekka.

"NO! I'M DONE! I SICK OF THE ALIENS, AND THE MUTANTS, AND EVIL ROBOTS, EVIL DAD'S, AND BEING BETRADE! I'M DONE!!! I'M A MUTANT FOR PETE SAKE! I CAN NEVER BE NORMAL AGAIN!" I shouted.

"Nick, what are you saying?" Asked Donnie.

"I'M SAYING I QUIT!"

I ripped off my mask and threw it to the ground.

Shock rippled through them all.

"Excuse me, but I'm leaving." I growled as I pushed past then and walked out of the Dojo and out of the Lair.

I was done.

~ Bekka's POV ~

I just stood there, like Donnie shot me with his paralizing gun.

Raph slowly walked to where Nick threw down her mask. Raph picked it up.

"This is a joke, right guys?" Asked Mikey. "She's going to walk right back in and say, 'Sike!' Right? Someone, please tell me she was joking!" He said.

Raph shook his head. "She's gone, maybe forever." He said, shocked.

I sighed. "And its all our faults. We should have taken her word about Katrina."

"And I should have never slapped her." Growled Raph.

We all looked at him. "What?!" We all said in unsion.

He blushed. "After Slash dissappeared, I wanted to talk to Nick and we started fighting. But is not like I meant to slap her!" He said.

Leo frowned. "Wait, when was Slash here?"

"Yesturday night. And with three other mutant turtles that look like him." I said calmly.

Leo stared at me. "You knew too?!"

"Dude, I tied them up and knocked out Slash." I said.

Mikey pretended to faint and then he jumped back up.

Raph twirled around. "Guys, I have other bad news too!"

We all looked at him.

"Bandit is gone!"

And THAT is the last chapter in the book! And now I shall work on my werewolf book, "Spirit of the White Wolf."

The 5th book MIGHT be up....hmm...actually YOU guys pick the date! Except you can't say, "TODAY!" or "Tomorrow."

It has to be AT LEAST FIVE days so I can get the first two chapters written!
