Have you ever felt that pain where part of you is gone?
Or the twinkling in someone's eyes that has lessoned to none.
When a person shifts their gaze to you but doesn't look you in the eye,
Cute baby birds who's mom was shot and now they're going to die,
But think with me for a moment bout why these things exist.
Is it to bring badness into life? Maybe just maybe, it's a gift.
How would you ever understand what it felt like to be whole,
If you never had a piece of taken away from your own soul?
Who could understand happiness if being sad never came?
Or the death of something small for the greater gain.
With each day remember that there's a purpose in all things.
And that how you view life will not change the circumstances,
But it can make or keep the circumstances from changing you.
