She ran as fast as she could.

Her throat burned with anticipation.

Her feet stung like a million tiny bees.

She hoped she wasn't too late.

But when she peered over the edge,

The blood drained from her face.

"Don't do it!" She screamed.

"I have to." Was the only reply,

And with a single jump,

Death filled the jumper's lungs.


She wished this wasn't real.

She wished this was a lie.

But only a smart person would see,

It was too late.

The victim was free.
