Somehow,
It felt good,
To see Brandon behind bars,
In a funny looking orange suit.No emotion filled his features.
He just sat there behind the glass window,
And stared into her eyes,
As if trying to figure her out."I should have known." He muttered into the telephone.
On the other side of the mirror,
Rose shrugged her shoulders,
And tightened her hold,
On the plain white telephone."I'm not one to let a criminal slip through my fingers, Brandon. What you did was horrible, unthinkable, disgusting, and sick. I couldn't just let that pass." Rose explained, rage filling her eyes.
Slowly,
The boy on the other side,
Nodded his head,
Still looking right at her."I understand."
"Good." Rose sighed.
She set the phone back into place,
Signaled at the guard,
Implying she was done speaking,
Took one last look at Brandon,
Before walking out the heavy metal doors.Goodbye. She whispered to herself.
And she knew she had done the right thing.
