Her dress fit on her body like a glove.
For once, she felt beautiful.
"It's lovely." Whispered Heaven.

"You think so?" Rose sighed happily, twirling around a bit.

"Yes, it looks great. But you never told me, where is it you're going?" Heaven wondered.

Rose blushes deeply and grinned. "I'm going on a date."

"Really?!" Heaven gasped. "First time since your break up with Evan!"

Rose chuckled and shrugged her shoulders,
Taking a bobby pin and placing it in her hair.

"I really like this guy, Heaven. He's so sweet to me. Absolutely not like Evan." She told her.

"Well if you think he's better than Evan, they I approve." Heaven smiled.

Rose hugged her little cousin,
and patted her head gently.
"Don't tell mother alright?"

"Of course not." Giggled Heaven. "She'll freak."

"Exactly."

A horn honked in the driveway.

"Oh that's him! I gotta go. Wish me luck!" Rose smiles brightly, placing her purse over her shoulder, before rushing out of the bedroom.

"Have fun!" She heard Heaven shout.

"I will!" Was her reply.

Voices filled her ears.
She heard her name being called.
She groaned.
She opened her eyes.

"Rose? Rose are you alright?"

Rose squinted her eyes.
"Mom?"

"Oh darling you're awake!"
Sighed her mother,
Fanning herself with her hand.

"What's going on?" Rose wondered.

"You were having a nightmare, dear.
With all the shaking and turning,
You sure gave me a scare!"

Rose blinked her eyes a few times.
She rubbed her temples and sighed deeply.
"Don't you worry mom. I can't even remember the dream anymore."

After she has left,
Rose leaned back against the pillows,
Closed her eyes,
And tried to keep her tears inside.

After all, she did remember the nightmare.
And she felt sick to the stomach.

Brandon was not who he said he was.
He was not charming or sweet.
He was not her dream come true.
But he was the opposite.

Brandon was ten times worse than Evan.
Sadly, she figured that out too late.
